Dr. Silverton uses modern refined techniques for liposuction.
Small punctures are made with a round object. Intravenous fluid is infiltrated into the fat – sometimes known as the tumescent technique. This fluid is spread out using ultrasound waves. The medication in the fluid minimizes bruising and discomfort.
Liposuction is then done using a syringe suction technique. There are no suction machines. No stitches are required and scars are minimal. You go home with a support garment in place. You are encouraged to be up and about immediately, and in most cases you can be back to work in 2 or 3 days.
You will see immediate results, which further improve with time as the swelling goes down. The most popular areas are the outer thighs and tummy, but many other areas can be treated also.
