Dr. Mark A. Chin, MD, MPH, is a Board Certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery of the face and body. After receiving his undergraduate degree in biochemistry, Dr. Chin received a Master’s in Public Health from UC Berkeley. He gained his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, then set out to gain his seven years of surgical training, from Loma Linda University and from Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, one of the most venerable plastic surgery training programs in the United States.

In 1993, Dr. Chin he moved to the Central Valley and opened the Valley Institute of Plastic Surgery in Fresno. “We moved here so that my family could have convenient access to both the coast and the mountains. The people here are warm and genuine, and we have been well- received,” Dr. Chin says of his new home.

Dr. Chin believes in promoting health and well-being. He hopes each of his patients will adopt positive attitudes towards self-improvement, and the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. “Cosmetic surgery is just one part of this process of looking and feeling better.”

Dr. Chin’s primary interest is to enhance a patient’s natural good looks while preserving an individual’s unique balance between internal and external beauty, striving for a natural, non-surgical appearance. “There may be an imbalance in the appearance—this or that is too big, too small, too wide, too loose, too wrinkled—these things are often beyond any improvement that may be within an individual’s power to accomplish on without help,” states Dr. Chin.

The Valley Institute of Plastic Surgery is located at 1381 E. Herndon, #109. For complete information about the services offered, please call Dr. Chin’s office at 559-435-9646 or email Dr. Chin.
