RALEIGH, NC, January 26, 2009 – Raleigh Plastic Surgery Center (RPSC), a provider of aesthetic and
reconstructive services for 35 years, has achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for
Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Status as an accredited organization means Raleigh Plastic Surgery
Center has passed a series of rigorous and nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality
healthcare set by the AAAHC. Over 1,300 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States
are accredited by the AAAHC.

“This accreditation reinforces our continued commitment of providing the highest possible level of quality care to
our patients and community,” says RPSC Administrator Nancy Nicoll O’Neill. “We are proud to have our efforts
recognized with this accreditation.”

Raleigh Plastic Surgery Center was founded in 1974 and provides cosmetic, reconstructive, and skin care
services. RPSC’s Board-certified plastic surgeons specialize in providing several procedures including
rhinoplasty, breast augmentation and reduction, otoplasty, abdominoplasty, liposuction, and facelifts. The
practice has also been recognized by Metro Magazine as one of the best plastic surgery centers in the Triangle.

Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by AAAHC undergo an extensive on-site, peer-based
survey of its facilities and services. Not all ambulatory healthcare organizations seek accreditation, and not all
undergoing the on-site survey are granted accreditation. Among the types of ambulatory healthcare organizations
that can seek AAAHC accreditation are ambulatory and office -based surgery centers, single and multi-specialty
group practices, college and university health services, dental group practices, community health centers,
occupational health centers, and managed care organizations.
