Payman Simoni, M.D. received his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva UniversityPayman Simoni and his M.D. degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He then served as general surgical resident at University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital where he completed his Facial Plastic Surgery and Head & Neck surgery training. Dr Simoni has two board certifications in Facial Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery (www.abfprs.org) and the American Board of Head and Neck Surgery/Otolaryngology.
Early in his training, Dr. Simoni realized that the field of facial plastic surgery was vast, diversified, and continuously changing. Following completion of his training, Dr. Simoni sought an experience that most plastic surgeons dream of but never achieve. He decided to travel throughout the country to study under some of the leading surgeons in the field of facial plastic surgery to benefit from their techniques and experiences. His distinguished teachers in Facial Plastic Surgery included Dr. Louis Vasconez, Dr. Gaylon McCoulough, Dr. Russel Kridel, Dr. Daniel Rousso, and Dr. Artemus Cox. He was also trained by Dr Jeffery Klein, the inventor of tumescent liposuction. And Therefore, Dr Simoni extended his cosmetic surgery interest to include liposuction and liposculpture by tumescent technique.
Dr. Simoni's specialization in the field of Plastic Surgery has been in the facial aesthetics and tumescent liposuction. He is sub-specialized in rhinoplasty (nose job), blepharoplasty (eyelid rejuvenation), rhytidectomy (face lift), mid-facelift (minimal facelift for younger patients), endoscopic forehead (brow) lift, fat transfer, otoplasty (correction of protruded ears), tumescent liposuction, Botox and Restylane injection, and skin resurfacing (for facial skin rejuvenation). Dr. Simoni also has received extensive training in facial reconstructive surgery.
