Dr. Silverman’s staff has done their best to make the arrangements simple and as affordable as possible.

Residing out of town or even out of the country, can be complicated for someone interested in an initial consultation, therefore, the use of email is a valuable tool. Someone interested may send photographs for review, details of their history and ask relevant questions. There is no charge for this inquiry. With a limited number of exchanges, the person can usually decide if they want to pursue their need further. In this case, our staff would schedule a phone consultation to review options in detail. In some cases, the doctor can meet with patients during his travels, including many of the larger bodybuilding competitions, which he attends annually. Depending on the individual situation, those meetings may be informal or formal and meeting for post-operative management is possible.

Testimonials

Testi "I’ve known Rick since he started his practice at U Mass in Worcester in 1993. I helped him when he decided to do a bodybuilding contest, and he came to Dallas to support me when I won my IFFB pro card. As a competitor and a judge in the sport, he brings a unique perspective to the surgical care of bodybuilders, and he works closely with his patients to get them back to the gym as quickly and safely as possible. He also understands what bodybuilders are looking for better than most plastic surgeons, since he’s been in the gym and on stage, striving for the perfection we all try to achieve."

Testi "Growing up I was a size A/B cup and after two children and breast feeding ...they became even smaller. I felt amazed that I could train hard and enjoy working on developing muscle all over my body but felt unwomanly for the loss of body fat to my breasts. I decided to look into breast augmentation. Being an MRI technologist for many years I wanted the implants under the muscle, making itMelissa After much easier for the mammo technologist to obtain xrays needed for future yearly screenings. As well as the appearance of the implants under the muscle looks very natural. I did my needed research which brought me to Dr. Rick Silverman who specializes in under the muscle implants and has great experience in Figure and body building women over the years.

It was really hard to tell how big or type of implant to use. That's when Dr Rick’s consult educated me. He explained all the options and then we took it home to discuss it between my husband and I to think about what I was looking for in my "new look". I choose Mentor saline-filled implants filled to 375 cc. I was very happy with the results. I enhanced my physique keeping it very natural looking. Many people today don't even know I had breast augmentation. My Breast size, shape and symmetry was perfect!

Dr. Rick was very skilled in deciding the best options for me as well as carrying out the surgery. My recovery time was right on track. Five months later stepping out onto the Figure stage taking runner up in my first WNBF Pro Show!

I was very happy with the results of my breast augmentation and five years later all I can think is that I wish I'd done it sooner."

His focus in aesthetic surgery is in fitness-oriented individuals and bodybuilders, where he aims to provide surgical care with a minimal interruption in their training program. He has written several articles on the treatment of gynecomastia in bodybuilders, published in both peer reviewed journals as well as in popular literature, including Muscle & Fitness magazine (for which he also serves on the Medical Advisory Board) and Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness magazine. Most recently, he finished 4th at the WNBF Pro Masters Cup and 3rd at the WNBF Mr. Universe, his first “professional” placing in the top three. He has written and performed music and poetry, including an original “drug-free” rap as background to his posing routine in competition.
