During your initial breast augmentation consultation, you will meet with Dr. Steely and his staff to discuss your goals. They will review your medical history and they may take photographs (the "before" shots) as part of your medical record. Dr. Steely will examine your breasts, evaluate their size and shape and the elasticity of the skin. Based on his findings and your goals, he will determine which surgical technique will benefit you the most. Also, Dr. Steely will review the risks associated with breast enhancement surgery and address your expectations. Of course, feel free to ask any questions you may have at this time.

"Dr. Steely and his team are the most professional people that I have ever met. He was 100% honest with me throughout the entire consultation and procedure. I wanted a breast augmentation and I have a really small frame, so I could only go so big until it would start to look ridiculous. He respected what I wanted instead of trying to sell me a bigger size or other procedures. I never felt rushed in his presence. My case felt like the number one priority for his office even though I knew he had other patients. This was a life changing procedure; I needed someone that was compassionate with superb skills and Dr. Steely is exactly that. He always looked me in the eye when he spoke, very direct, but never arrogant or bored. Everyone at the hospital was wonderful and took great care of me throughout the entire procedure. "I have been considering getting breast augmentation for a very long time but was too skeptical about the whole thing. After doing careful research, I decided to go with Dr. Steely because of his view of "be proportionate to your body" and not look overdone. During my consultation, he was able to answer my many questions with clarity which put me at ease. I personally hate going to the doctor but Dr. Steely and his staff made it so pleasant every time I was there. I decided to have silicone implants instead if saline. The first thing that surprised me was the fact that he does complimentary consultations!! This was especially helpful since I had already seen multiple doctors that charged for their appointments. "I recently had a tummy tuck and could not be happier! I had a c-section 2 years ago and could not get rid of the little pouch area. Dr. Steely was able to reduce the size of my tummy and now it is totally flat. I feel so good in my clothes and have really enjoyed buying new summer clothes and swim-suits. "For years I have wanted a breast lift but felt it wasn't necessary with proper bras. After 5 years of discussion, my husband convinced me to at least research my surgical options. We are not from the Houston area and didn't have friends that could make recommendations, so we relied on our online research to choose surgeons to visit. Dr. Steely had amazing reviews on Citysearch and he was our first choice. During the free consultation, I explained to Dr. Steely the look I was hoping for. "Dr. Steely did my breast augmentation yesterday and I'm feeling and looking great! He's very professional and his staff was awesome! I arrived at his office 30 minutes before my procedure. They brought me back, hooked me up to an IV, and the surgery was underway. When I woke up, he and his staff were at my side in the recovery room. "I couldn't sleep the night before my liposuction consultation. It wasn't the thought of surgery that made me nervous, but the unimaginable idea of letting someone actually look at me from behind. Literally, the thought made me sick to my stomach. However, my fear was all for naught! I felt instantly comfortable and at ease with Dr. Steely. And I mean instantly. "I had been considering eyelid surgery and some form of a face lift for a few years so in December I decided to schedule consultations. As many people are, I was somewhat uncomfortable about going to a plastic surgeon. Two of the Doctors I visited were arrogant, rude and only had a "cookie cutter” approach to surgery. Dr Steely was totally opposite. He actually listened to what I wanted and treated me like a real person. He used a problem solving approach to tailor the surgery to my needs. His follow up to surgery and genuine caring attitude were wonderful. "I have been entertaining the idea of breast augmentation for years. Thinking of visiting a plastic surgeon just put butterflies in my stomach. "I got a breast augmentation from Dr. Steely about 8 weeks ago and I couldn't be more happy. The surgery takes place at St. Joseph's downtown. EVERY ONE that I came in contact with in that hospital were wonderful. I didn't not have one rude person help me. With this doctor I didn't feel pressured into getting the surgery and I didn't feel like he was telling me things that weren't correct just so I would agree to get the augmentation. If anything I was trying to rush him into letting me sign the papers! Another thing I appreciated about Dr. Steely is I told him what I wanted and he told me what he could do. I wanted to go as big as I could and he informed me that I could only go to a certain size because that is the max that my body can hold. If I were to go too big I would have a "uni-boob". My implants would touch underneath the skin and my cleavage would be connected under the skin. He informed me if I went too big that would happen to me and it is something that is very hard to correct. So of course I listened to him and I am so happy. I have recommended him to all of my friends and some have already gone for a consultation and we very impressed!"

"After doing an extensive search for the most prominent plastic surgeons in Houston, Dr. Steely was one of three we picked for a consultation. These three were well known in the area. Dr. Steely was by far the most personal and attentive to me and what I was wanting. His bed side manner is top notch. I never felt rushed. Even at the free consultation he would have stayed as long as I needed. Your time is important to him. Never makes you wait for your appointment, like some of his colleagues. "Words can not express how happy I am with Dr. Steely and my breast augmentation and tummy tuck! I was very nervous about going in for a consultation. After doing extensive research online I found 100% positive reviews for Dr. Steely. I called his office and set up a consultation - The consultation was FREE! When I arrived, the office was very warm and welcoming. Heather greeted me. She was very pleasant and professional and asked me what I was looking to have done. I then met with Cindy who was extremely down to earth & easy to talk to. I felt so at ease. Dr. Steely came into the room & immediately I felt more comfortable. I told him what my concerns were & he gave me his opinion & answered all my numerous questions. I did not feel rushed at all -- I knew then that I would choose Dr. Steely as my surgeon. When I left I had made up my mind. I figured I should just check with a couple of other surgeons just so I could see a comparison. There was no comparison at all -- Dr Steely by far exceeded my expectations. Not only was he personable, professional & easy going, his fees were by far the best I have seen. My breast aug and tummy tuck went amazing - the scar on my stomach is very thin and has been healing rapidly. I am happy with the size of my breast aug & since I have returned to work, I have referred 2 people to Dr. Steely as they are so impressed with my results. One other thing I would like to mention is, Dr. Steely & his staff also refers you to a store to get fitted for your bra --- this was an added extra perk as I did not know where I should go. "I am a very detail oriented person and have very high expectations. I did a lot of research online & with friends & nurses who had undergone various cosmetic procedures. After that, I created a list of 5 plastic surgeons to visit in Houston. I chose Dr. Steely without hesitation after meeting with the other surgeons for my tummy tuck, liposuction, and breast lift & breast reduction. I had all three procedures performed less than 4 weeks ago, first time for ANY surgery, at St Joseph's.The hospital was better than average, though I felt the hospital experience could have been improved. (The food was edible only, my intake nurse was EXCELLENT, but my recovery nurses were scatter-brained, but friendly) My actual results from the surgeries were excellent. I was back at work in less than a week, which was a lot sooner than I expected. My incisions are very narrow and the stitches are difficult to see if you are looking for them. (this is just 3 wks after surgery). Bruising was minimal, I only had significant bruising from the lipo areas, and that went away quite quickly. My breasts look great, my tummy is flat, and my saddlebags are gone! The staff at Dr. Steely's office is great. As other's have stated they are friendly, available, not condescending AT ALL, and very very helpful. None of the staff or Dr Steely will pressure you in any way to get extra procedures done (that was not the case with other surgeons I have visited) or "sell" you in any way. They are very sincere in their concern for you and your recovery, possibly even more so AFTER you have paid and gotten the surgery completed (again, not the norm). They go the extra distance to provide you with all the info and things you need to recover quickly and look your best (topical creams, endermology treatments, compression garments, antibiotic creams, sports bra, information packets, etc). Bottom line, I am not one to rate nearly any experience a 5 stars. I am a perfectionist. They met my HIGH standards. 5 stars!"
