The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) is the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) to certify a surgeon in plastic surgery of the face and of the entire body. Dr. Ong is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), and the American Board of Surgery (ABS.) She is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

What is exciting about Dr. Ong is that she is young and vibrant, and it shows in her work. She has brought to Tucson the latest and most advanced techniques in plastic surgery encompassing all parts of the body. She specializes in reconstructive and cosmetic procedures of the breast, body and face including body contouring procedures, and facial rejuvenation.

Dr. Ong completed her training in plastic surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. Prior to that she completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Arizona and an internship in general surgery at the University of Hawaii. She attended medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia after graduating from Taylor’s College of Melbourne.

Having a particular interest in post-surgical reconstruction, Dr. Ong collaborates with numerous breast and oncologic surgeons to provide compassionate care with cosmetically pleasing results for patients battling cancer or other serious diagnoses. She constantly strives for excellence and tailors every procedure to each patient she encounters. Dr. Ong is affiliated with three hospitals in Tucson. Since the hospital quality scores are a composite of performance by individual doctors, a doctor's particular hospital affiliation will often reflect on his or her performance.

A native of Malaysia, Dr. Ong came to the United States after completing her college degree. She was thrilled to return to Arizona to practice after falling in love with the state during her residency. Her hobbies include kite and snowboarding, reading, and traveling.
