Mary Lee Peters, M.D.

Voted by her peers as one of Seattle’s “Top Docs” for four years in Seattle Magazine, in the inaugural edition of Seattle Metropolitan magazine in Puget Sound Consumer Checkbook and as one of America’s Top Surgeons by The Consumer Research Council of America, Dr. Peters is known for natural-looking results and extremely satisfied patients.

A cum laude graduate of The University of Virginia, she received her medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia in 1977. Her extensive surgical experience began with a surgical internship at Barnes Hospital, Washington University, St. Louis, followed by surgical residencies at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. She continued her advanced education with a two-year fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, and a plastic surgery fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC. She did further advanced specialty training in a private fellowship in Minneapolis, Minnesota, working in microsurgical techniques.

Dr. Peters is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and belongs to a variety of professional associations including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the Washington State Plastic Surgery Society, the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Washington State Medical Society. She is former Chair of the Plastic Surgery Department of Washington Hospital Center, and a member of the Johns Hopkins Medical Surgical Association.
