I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your care of me last week. You made me feel so comfortable and at ease, I felt at home!! What a caring person you are, it made such a difference to my being there all alone. I am well recovered, just in from my first work-out and getting back into my routine...it feels great!

Testi "Dr. Moskovitz,

I just wanted to thank you for all you have done in getting me my surgery. You always took me seriously; you didn't talk down to me and seemed to really understand what this meant to me. You never made me feel I was being silly. I have been, as I told you, called horrible names and made fun of for 15 years by my ex but no more. I did it for me and he will never get to enjoy. You treated me with respect and kindness and I thank you very much. I don't know if you would use a key chain like this but I made it for you anyway, I make a little money making things like this and jewelry, etc. Please accept it and once again thank your for everything."
J.N.

Qualifications

Dr. Martin Moskovitz is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon (American Board of Plastic Surgery, September 18, 1999) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. No single piece of information could be more important to a prospective patient than Board Certification.

Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery means that Dr. Martin Moskovitz has completed a rigorous program covering multiple areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery. His training took place at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and exposed him to nearly every facet of plastic surgical problems and treatment. Prior to his training at Baylor, Dr. Moskovitz received Board Certification in General Surgery from The American Board of Surgery (February 9, 1999). Board certification in General Surgery attests to a thorough understanding of human physiology and the effects of trauma and disease on the body. This double Board certification helps him provide a full range of care to his patients. It is important to remember that plastic surgery is surgery and that elective and cosmetic procedures must be taken seriously and understood intimately.

Board certification is a significant achievement but it is the minimum requirement that your surgeon should have. A surgeon should express a dedication to understanding, advancing, and teaching the type of surgery that he or she practices. After joining the faculty of Baylor College of Medicine in 1998, he served as the Director of the St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital/Baylor Resident Aesthetic Surgery Clinic. This center provides Baylor's surgeons-in-training their foundation in cosmetic surgery and furthers the understanding of cosmetic surgery.

Plastic surgery has changed dramatically in the past decade. Dr. Moskovitz has worked hard to keep his techniques current and provide the most modern, safe, and reliable options for his patients. His new surgery center stresses safety and comfort and as his resume below shows, he continues to advance plastic surgery techniques and knowledge.

After graduating from Columbia College (Columbia University) in New York with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Literature, Martin J. Moskovitz, MD, FACS obtained his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. His post-doctoral training included residencies in General Surgery with the Brooklyn South Surgical Program in Brooklyn, New York, and in Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Moskovitz then became Director of the Aesthetic Surgery Clinic at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital and an Assistant Professor in the division of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.

While at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Moskovitz directed the cosmetic surgery program and was responsible for training dozens of residents in patient selection, patient care, operating room technique, and overall medical management.

Dr. Moskovitz currently teaches the course on liposuction breast reduction at the annual meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the largest national body of plastic surgeons. He is also an experienced panelist and lecturer in the field and has published on the subject in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the most respected plastic surgery journal in the world. Our Philosophy

"My philosophy is simple and straightforward: I aim to provide the finest plastic surgical care for my patients in a safe and honest atmosphere. All physicians work by the motto 'Do No Harm' and this credo is even more important to the cosmetic surgeon. Elective cosmetic surgery must be viewed carefully and the proposed results must be real and attainable. I make a point to be honest when I think the risks, financial outlay, and recovery time is simply not worth the limited improvement possible. On the other hand, when major, positive changes can be accomplished, it is my job to clearly convey the possibilities to my patients.

"Though computers play a significant role in my office, I believe it is more important to talk to my patients and truly understand their concerns and desires. The extra time spent talking is always worthwhile. I have learned to be a navigator while my patients are the captains. They tell me where they want to go, and I formulate a plan to get them there.

"While I use new technology in my practice daily, I bring this technology to my patients carefully. I do not want to incur unexpected complications or experience treatment failures by using untested methods. I believe in bringing new technology to my patients when the whole truth is known and we can both make informed decisions.

"I enjoy plastic surgery immensely. I enjoy helping people look and feel their best. I hope I can help you with your plastic surgery journey."
