Our goal every day is to find ways to do even more and make this experience even better for our patients. I once heard an expression, “Even on our worst days we are better than our competition on their best day.” Being better than someone else is not a high enough standard, we want to be our very best! Best at making you feel welcome and comfortable, best at respecting and valuing your time, best at educating you about the journey you are considering, our best at making this journey as stress-free as possible, our best at building a life-long relationship with you, and our best at giving you realistic expectations and amazing results.

Testimonials

Testi "I have only worked for Dr. Barlow for 3 months, but I have been a patient since December 22, 2008. Before being hired, I had 10 laser tattoo removal treatments with Dr. Barlow.

I have had great results, but I am most impressed with the care he took in managing the pain involved with the tattoo removal (it hurts!). In addition to numbing me 2 ways (topical cream and local anesthesia), he also used a very gentle hand while administering the local anesthesia.

Going slowing and gently takes extra time, but he always allotted me the time needed to do it right. This is how I knew he would be a great boss!"

Testi "My journey with Dr. Barlow and his team began almost five years ago. My patient coordinator was so warm and caring. I could tell that she was experienced with helping others navigate their way through change. She walked me through everything, and I felt a real connection with the staff.

My experience with Dr. Barlow and his staff changed my life. I was in my early 40's, in the middle of a very stressful career and I was re-evaluating my priorities. I envied their passion and vehicle to pour into the lives of others on a daily basis through their work. So, after careful thought, consideration and prayer, I made the boldest telephone call of my life. I called Eileen (patient coordinator at the time) and told her that I wanted her job.

I have worked here for almost 4 years and every day I love to be here. Dr. Barlow cares for each and every patient in way that I did not think was present in the medical community."

Testi "Back in December of 2006, I wanted my breast implants removed and a breast lift. I had consulted with a doctor on two different occasions and thought he was the one to do the job. Well, little did I know that he already had a bad history of surgeries gone badly. I started running a fever as high as 102°, my nipples turned black and I could see white pus behind all the black dead tissue. I called the doctor each time, and each time he would tell me that I didn't have an infection. On one occasion he even yelled at me that I didn't have an infection. I saw him in his office and still he claimed that I did not have an infection. He was right on one part, it wasn't one infection, but three.

Next, I consulted with yet another doctor whom I was referred to but he was reluctant to take me as a patient, but did advise me to go to Clear Lake Hospital, as there was a doctor on call that was a good plastic surgeon.

That was the night that I saw Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Mark Barlow for the first time. When he walked into my room I felt a calm and peacefulness come over me. It was as if he had a glow around him of peace and caring. Since that night I believe he wears a halo of goodness. I believed in him whole-heartedly, that his training and experience could make me better. It was a long hard road of three surgeries and packing wounds for six months, but Dr. Barlow never gave up the fight. Each time I came out of a surgery I knew things would be looking up. He saved my breast. I only wish I had gone to him first so that I would have saved myself the physical (living with holes in my breast for months while infection drained, undergoing general anesthesia several times, and pain), emotional (fear and stress), and financial costs.

Finally, I have to say Dr. Barlow is one of the most caring doctors I have had the pleasure of being in my life. If ever asked for the name of a good Plastic Surgeon, “I would say Dr. Mark Barlow, he rocks!” "

Testi "I went to see Dr. Barlow in search for the perfect doctor to do my Breast Augmentation last year. As soon as I talked to the patient coordinator, I felt at ease. I had more consultations to go to after him but as soon as I started talking to him I knew he was the one.

He made me feel completely at ease about having it done. From the time of my consult until now I have felt like family. Not only does he do exceptional work but he has the BEST bedside manner. Even when I would call every day they never made me feel like it was a burden for me to call and always said if I have ANY questions feel free to call them.

The night of my surgery he called my husband to see how I was doing. Almost one year to the day later I am having another procedure done and still feel the same. I couldn't ask for a better doctor or staff than what I have found here."
