Dr. Hurvitz is double certified by the ABMS (American Board of Medical Specialties).

In addition to maintaining his private practice, Dr. Hurvitz is involved with multiple academic and clinical activities. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. He is a volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor with the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. He is also an active member of both the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Craniofacial Team and the Long Beach Memorial Wound Healing Center. Through these endeavors he is able to stay current with the latest advances in plastic surgery and provide special care for patients in our community.
