Kamran Khoobehi, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Kamran Khoobehi is highly respected by his peers and colleagues for his skill and proficiency in performing even the most advanced surgical procedures. He was featured on CNN for successfully performing a reconstructive procedure that may be the first of its kind. During surgery to reattach an eyelid for a dog bite victim, Dr. Khoobehi was able to reconnect the eyelid's network of tiny blood vessels in order to help save the patient's sight. He is believed to be the first surgeon to accomplish this feat.

In every procedure he performs at his plastic surgery practice in Metairie, Louisiana, Dr. Khoobehi uses cutting-edge technology and sophisticated techniques to achieve elegant, aesthetically pleasing results. He uses his warm, personable demeanor to make his plastic surgery patients from New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and nearby areas feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.

Kamran Khoobehi, M.D. is on staff at Louisiana State University, serving as both a clinical professor and as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. During an eyelid reattachment surgery at the LSU Health Sciences Center, Dr. Khoobehi made history as the first surgeon in the world to successfully reconnect the network of tiny blood vessels in the eyelid. Dr. Khoobehi's efforts helped save the sight of his patient, a dog bite victim, and their story was featured on CNN, in USA Today, and in other major media outlets.

Dr. Khoobehi also serves as the Director of Training for aesthetic students at LSU.

Dr. Khoobehi is an active member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and enjoys participating in many of their continuing education programs. He is also a proud father and loves spending time with his family.
