Dr. Judith Gurley completed her plastic and general surgery training at the University of Chicago in 1998. In 1999, she completed a Craniofacial Fellowship at Washington University. Recruited by the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Washington University, she spent several years on staff as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. While teaching residents and fellows, and engaging in basic science research, she maintained a full-time practice. Dr. Gurley has been board certified since 2001, and has enjoyed a busy clinical practice in St. Louis since 1999. She currently practices in Chesterfield, MO, where her extensive surgical training in both general and plastic surgery affords her the skills and experience necessary to operate on all body areas. The private practice setting allows Dr. Gurley to focus on newest advances in plastic surgery, and dedicate 100% of her time to patient care.

Dr. Gurley has mentored numerous young doctors in surgery, educated the community on breast cancer reconstruction, traveled to third world countries to operate on children with cleft lip and palate, and has devoted time to helping uninsured women with breast cancer obtain the surgical reconstruction they need. She is well published in peer-reviewed journals and stays on the leading edge of plastic surgery techniques.
