Qualifications

Education

A New Jersey native, Dr. Cozzone graduated from the College of Holy Cross, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. With a passion for medicine, he immediately traveled to Italy and earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the renowned University of Rome.


Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Cozzone completed training in general surgery at the local City Medical Center where his expertise and commitment to patient care ultimately earned him the Chief Resident position. After spending five years at the same City Medical Center, Dr. Cozzone developed an interest in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
In 1985, Dr. Cozzone completed his training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at O. S. U. where he served as Clinical Professor of Surgery for two years. Dr. Cozzone then returned to our area to establish his own practice. Shortly thereafter, he became one of the first American surgeons trained in the art of liposuction. Today, in addition to his cosmetic surgery practice, Dr. Cozzone is on staff at our local University Medical Center and the Valley Hospital.


Specialized Training

Dr. Cozzone specializes in the latest and safest procedures in reconstructive and plastic surgery. Recently, he completed training in the newest advancement in breast augmentation: Transumbilical Breast Augmentation (TUBA) - a minimally invasive and virtually scarless breast augmentation procedure. With this training, Dr. Cozzone becomes one of only a handful of area surgeons skilled in and offering this procedure. In addition, Dr. Cozzone offers the latest therapies in treating facial wrinkles and folds including Captique�, Restylane� and Botox� injections.


Licensing and Professional Affiliations

Dr. Cozzone is board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery. In addition, he holds licenses in the regional states and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
