Qualifications

John A. Millard grew up in Lakewood, Colorado, graduating from Wheat Ridge High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Denver. He attended Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Dr. Millard completed his internship at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, and his residency in General Surgery at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He then went on to complete a three-year residency in Plastic Surgery at Duke University. He is an international instructor for LiposelectionSM only by Vaser and a national instructor for the recently FDA approved Contour ThreadTM procedure. He is Board Certified in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery. Dr. Millard also completed a hand surgery fellowship at the world renowned Kleinert Institute of Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky. He spent four years in the United States Air Force, during which time he was a Flight Surgeon, supporting the mission of the U2 Spy Plane.
