Jerome S. Weiskopf, M.D.

A graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Weiskopf went on to medical school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor from which he graduated in 1969. He completed a residency in general surgery at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1974, a fellowship in plastic and hand surgery in 1976 also at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Weiskopf was certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1975 and by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1977. He has been in private practice in cosmetic and plastic surgery in Rockford, Illinois since coming to Rockford in 1976. He has been a clinical associate on the faculty of the University of Illinois, Rockford School of Medicine in Rockford as well since that time.

Dr. Weiskopf is the director of the Cleft Palate Clinic at the University of Illinois School of Medicine and has been the director of the Burn Unit at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center for over 20 years.

Dr. Weiskopf practices actively at all three Rockford hospitals including OSF St Anthony Medical Center, SwedishAmerican Hospital and Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Weiskopf has served on numerous committees of the county and state medical societies and has been president of the Winnebago County Medical Society twice as well as being a delegate to the Illinois State Medical Society consistently since 1976.

Dr. Weiskopf maintains his clinical excellence by participating actively in the societies described above and obtaining at least 150 hours of continuing education in his chosen specialty as well as being ACLS certified.
