Hisham Seify, M.D., Ph.D.

Hisham Seify, M.D., Ph.D. is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Newport Beach California who specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive Plastic Surgery. Dr. Seify spent nearly 13 years in post-graduate training. He was trained in general and plastic surgery overseas before coming to the US in 1998 to finish his Doctor of Science Degree thesis at Emory University.

Emory University
At Emory University he was privileged to attend advanced training in Endoscopic Plastic Surgery with the late Dr John Bostwick. He conducted multiple clinical and basic science research projects on newer techniques in the applications of Endoscopic Plastic Surgery which were presented in national meetings and published in peer reviewed journals. This research constituted the main stem of his PhD thesis which he defended in February of 2000.

Following this, he engaged in general surgery training and plastic surgery training at Emory University, during which time he also served as Administrative Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Seify participated in specialized training in Occuloplastic Surgery with Dr. Clinton McCord at Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta. He developed a special interest in surgery of the eye lids and the lacrimal system.

Lectures and Accolades
Dr. Seify is the 2007 recipient of the prestigious Sherrell J. Aston Award from the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He published a wide range of scientific articles and has also contributed chapters to medical textbooks on the subject of plastic surgery.

He has lectured and presented scientific papers nationally and overseas. In 2008, he will be the invited surgeon to hospitals overseas to perform surgeries on both civilians and veterans. Since 2007, His Orange County Practice in collaboration with Emory University has been inviting international guest plastic surgeons for both training and research.

While training at The Emory Clinic, a world renowned center for aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, Dr. Seify developed a special interest in surgery of the breast including augmentation, reduction and reconstruction.

Dr. Seify is currently an Attending Physician at the UCLA –H medical center as well as being a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UCI medical Center. He is affiliated with several of Orange County’s premier hospitals including Hoag, Saddleback, Fountain Valley, and Mission Hospitals. All of which are recognized for their outstanding healthcare contributions to the Orange County area.
