Dear Dr. Rauscher,

My search to find you began one day on the internet. At the time I had no idea what kind of doctor you would turn out to be. I was very impressed with your credentials and had a good feeling about you. I called your office to set up an appointment. I arrived for my appointment on July 27th and it was very early and the office was not opened yet. I was waiting outside of your office with another couple who said they have known you since 1978 and when I entered your office which was very professional I was greeted with a warm welcome from your office staff. I then met Roseva, your nurse, who was absolutely incredible and told me everything about what to expect from the surgery and from you. Roseva made a statement to me, "Dr. Rauscher treats his patients the way he would treat his own family members.” I did not truly know what she was talking about until I met you. The minute I did meet you I saw a real human being not typical of most doctors. You had a kind of face and a gentle way about you. I knew then that I was going to schedule my surgery with you. The surgery day arrived and you made your markings on me to prepare for the surgery. The next thing I remember before the anesthesia kicked in was the warm touch of your hand warming mine, because it was so cold in the operating room. I was then knocked out and my memory the rest of the day was unclear. I arrived at Prospect Heights Care Center where I planned to stay for awhile after surgery. Your daily visits was unheard of to me. I could not believe that you took so much time out of your day to care for me and check on my status daily. I could not even describe to you the appreciation and respect I have for you as a doctor. You are truly the most amazing doctor I have ever encountered and I have encountered many. Qualifications

Dr. Rauscher graduated from medical school in New York and completed his residency training at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Rauscher has also received a Certificate of Advanced Education in Plastic Surgery and a Certificate of Added Qualification on Surgery of the Hand.

Currently, Dr. Rauscher is a professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is also a member and former president of Surgery. He belongs to several prestigious medical societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Association for Surgery of the Hand, the International College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery, and the New Jersey Plastic Surgery Society. Dr. Rauscher is the former Vice-president of the New York Regional Plastic Surgery Society, and member of the N.Y. Academy of Medicine.

A continued interest in new technology and innovation has led Dr. Rauscher to author several articles for prominent medical journals. One of his recent articles discussing laser treatment of the legs and facial telangiectasia was published in the journal Aesthetic Surgery. In addition, Dr. Rauscher has authored several chapters in educational volumes about mid-facelifts and endoscopic forehead lifts that have earned him recognition in the medical community. Dr. Rauscher is also a contributor to the Education Symposium Committee and Esthetics Plastic Surgery Society.

While patients are his first priority, Dr. Rauscher is also actively involved in research and has contributed to the development of new techniques and innovations in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Rauscher performs these cutting edge techniques, including fat and stem cell grafting and endoscopic mid-facelift at his plastic surgery practice in Hackensack for patients seeking the most advanced cosmetic treatments available.

His status as a leader in the plastic surgery community and interest in the latest technology has led Dr. Rauscher to author several articles for prominent medical journals. In addition, Dr. Rauscher has also authored several chapters in educational texts focusing on topics such as mid-facelift, endoscopic browlift, and eyelid surgery techniques that have distinguished him as a leading expert in the field of plastic surgery.
