A message from Dr. Meldrum:

Thank you for visiting our web site. One of the founding fathers of plastic surgery, Dr. Tagliocozzi (1597) said, “We restore, repair, and make whole those parts which nature has given but fortune has taken away. Not so much that they may delight the eye but that they may buoy up the spirit and help the mind of the afflicted.” Dr. Tagliocozzi’s message still holds true today.

Time and life experiences eventually catch up to all of us. Whether this results in visual signs of aging or functional deficits due to aging speaks to the fine line between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. I have the privilege of working with many inspiring patients, all of whom have a shared common goal, to look and feel better. As a board certified plastic surgeon and artist, I pledge to devote all of my skills and service to help you accomplish your aspirations to look and feel rejuvenated.

Qualifications

Garth Meldrum, M.D. graduated Summa Cum Laude at Philadelphia University prior to completing his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine.  Dr. Meldrum completed his general and plastic surgery training at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where he also served as Chief Resident of Plastic Surgery.


Prior to his medical career, Dr. Meldrum worked as a graphic artist and more recently his artistic talents have lead to several medical illustrations in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Aesthetic Plastics Surgery journals.


Following his education and training, Dr. Meldrum passed extensive oral and written exams in plastic surgery, leading to his certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  Dr. Meldrum has also won several awards and grants in plastic surgery research including first place at the American Association for Reconstructive Microsurgery Annual Meeting, and first place for the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation Junior Clinical Research Award on the effects of facelifts on earlobe aesthetics.


Dr. Meldrum enjoys the beautiful Oregon outdoors through fly fishing, soccer, art, hiking, running and spending time with his wife and daughter.
