“Art is such an integral part of plastic surgery. For a plastic surgeon not to know the dimensions of the human form and the proportions and three dimensional tones gives some limitations in regard to the ability to create. In regard to my day to day life with plastic surgery I’m continually using my art background.
And I do that with every patient that I have to draw their images for: pre-operative markings, to plan what I’m going to do, and that only comes together with the ability to see three dimensionally, and to see with a structured form.” - Elizabeth S. Harris, M.D.
