Daniel J. Pyo, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Daniel J. Pyo has dedicated his life and his career to helping people through cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. A consummate professional, Dr. Pyo never fails to treat his patients with respect, courtesy, and compassion. He has a keen aesthetic eye and a gift for producing results that are subtle and completely natural looking. He spends considerable time with his patients, educating them about their choices and helping them to establish realistic goals. Dr. Pyo has built his reputation on balancing precision and technical skill with humanity, kindness, and unwavering patience.

Initially trained as a microsurgeon, Dr. Pyo is extremely proficient in technology. He applies a careful, delicate touch to every stage of the surgical process, which allows him to maximize comfort while minimizing recovery time for his patients. He continually educates himself to stay current with advanced techniques and technologies, integrating those most beneficial to his patients into his practice.

A proud Korean-American and dedicated family man, Dr. Pyo has always been grateful for the many gifts and talents with which he has been blessed. This is one reason why he has devoted much of his time and service to helping those in dire need, primarily children. Dr. Pyo has been instrumental in developing a Craniofacial Deformities Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital, and serving as an active member. A gifted pediatric surgeon, Dr. Pyo has participated in numerous mission trips to poor and underdeveloped countries, repairing birth defects and other physical abnormalities in Brazilian and Columbian children. He has made trips to Kenya, China, and most recently to India. Making a profound, positive difference in people's lives is both a professional and personal mission for Dr. Pyo.

Acknowledged for his excellence in surgery by his peers, Dr. Pyo served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He has been a lecturer for Johnson & Johnson, KCI, and Synthes. He was recently appointed to the prestigious AO TK Working Group, which is responsible for development of new technologies and education. He is also an active member of many prestigious professional organizations.
