Medicine is a family tradition in Dr. Joseph's family. The youngest of six children, Dr. Brian P. Joseph and most of his siblings followed the same medical path shaped by their father when he became a surgeon many years ago.

Dr. Joseph received his bachelor's degree from Tulane University and his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Before starting in private plastic surgery practice in the Orlando area, Dr. Joseph was an Assistant Professor in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Kentucky. During his years at the University, he was Director of the Aesthetic Clinic and an instructor on the latest techniques in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body, helping other plastic surgeons hone their skills. Dr. Joseph also performed microsurgery for cancer and trauma reconstruction patients. Dr. Joseph is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
