Boulder Valley Plastic Surgery

Dr. Jeff Swail is originally from Winnipeg, Canada where he completed his undergraduate training and attended medical school, obtaining his MD in 1989. He trained in General Surgery at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario for three years and went on to Plastic Surgery training at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He began practice in Boulder, Colorado in 1995. Dr. Swail is a member of several professional societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, the Colorado Medical Society, and the Boulder County Medical Society.

The majority of Dr. Swail's surgeries are performed in his own state-of-the-art surgical suite. This facility is certified by the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF). Additionally Dr. Swail has privileges at several other facilities, including Boulder Community Hospital where he served as Chief of Surgery from 2002 through 2004.

Dr. Swail keeps abreast of all the latest developments in the field of plastic surgery by attending educational seminars and conferences every year. For the past 10 years he has donated time to surgical mission trips, operating on indigent patients in third world countries. He is currently on the Board of Directors and is Chair of Surgical Services for Uplift Internationale, a charitable organization providing cleft lip and palate surgeries to children in the Philippines. He received their 2007 Humanitarian Award and remains dedicated to helping their cause. Dr. Swail enjoys the outdoor lifestyle of Boulder, Colorado with his wife and two children.
