Testi "Dr. Wooten,

Your work made my life better already! I feel like I can look in the mirror again!"

Testi "Dear Dr. Wooten,

Thank you for your expertise in augmenting my lips. I absolutely LOVE them!!! I cannot express to you what a difference they have made in my appearance. I look much younger and can even wear my hairstyle in a longer cut, because of my more youthful appearance.

You are the BEST!!!"

Testi "It always makes me happy when a patient takes the time to thank me for the care I gave them. That is why I want to let you know how much I appreciate all you have done for me. Honestly, I have been writing and revising this letter for months in the hope I would get it just right, forgetting nothing. I was not going to give this to you until my reconstruction was done but I was rudely reminded last week of how fragile life is. I did not want to miss the opportunity to share my thoughts with you.

For 19 years I have been in EMS and/or worked as a nurse’s aid. I never thought that I would be the one who would need treatment. Initially, I gave your office a bad time. I kept telling that I treat patients and did not want to be the patient myself. I was even asked if I wanted to do my own surgery after I told you that I had studied a virtual mastectomy and reconstruction video before our initial visit.

I cannot imagine how difficult reconstruction could have been if I would have chosen a surgeon who was impersonal and treated me like I was just a number. Whether you know it or not, you helped me convince myself that everything would be ok during the scariest time of my life. You treated me like I was normal when many of my family and friends were uncomfortable around me. When I was panicked on several occasions you patiently answered my phone calls and calmed me down. (I am sure there may have been times when you wished I did not have your number). It made me feel secure knowing I could call you if I got into trouble. I am very thankful that despite the fact that one of my breasts is an implant, for the first time since puberty I do not feel like a misfit. I am not afraid not to wear turtle necks and clothes that are not oversized. I have learned many things this year. Too many to pen. One big thing I learned was that my perception of medicine had become skewed. (I only treat patients when something has gone amiss). I now know that sometimes things go really good. I have always strived to give good patient care and have a good bedside manner. I sure appreciate that you and your staff gave me excellent care. I hope I have learned things from you all that will make me a better paramedic. I do not believe I could have received better care.

I do believe that God is in control of my life. I believe He directed me to the right doctors for me. I don’t know what tomorrow holds but I am really hoping that if I have a re-occurrence you will let me continue to be your patient.

Thank you again."
P.K.

Testi "Dear Dr. Wooten,

This letter comes to you with many emotions. The experiences I had with breast cancer that brought me to this renewing healthy place in my life have so much to do with you. You have a God given skill and a genuine caring nature for your patients as well as your constant confident persona as a Doctor-which have enhanced my life in so many ways.

When I found out that I had Breast cancer at 44 years of age it was almost incomprehensible to understand how drastically my life was going to change-I knew it would never be the same in many ways. But, when we were introduced and we consulted about my double mastectomy with reconstruction your confidence and care was overwhelming. But most of all the reassurance that you portrayed to me in your abilities to reconstruct my breast put me at ease almost immediately and still does to this day. Receiving your professional and expert care on this most delicate matter and knowing that it was going to be a long road, I had every confidence in putting my body into your skilled hands to make me whole again. For me and my personal experience, I can say that you are a gift from God to women who find themselves face to face with such a life threatening illness.

Now two years later my reconstructed breasts, nipple reconstruction and the tattooing for the areola-look absolutely amazing! You are truly a gifted Doctor in the art of plastic surgery! Most of all I feel lucky enough to know you and consider you a wonderful friend for life. This is what you gave to your patients- trust and most of all what you gave to me was my life back as a whole women and for that I am forever grateful to you! With many joyful emotions I sign this letter to you at the end of my journey.

Love from the bottom of my heart."

Testi "I had a fantastic surgical experience, thanks to Dr. Anna Wooten, and would like to share it with those who are considering her for surgery.

I met Dr. Wooten four years ago, but had already heard of her. Several people in the medical field had worked with her in Pittsburgh and were impressed with her surgical portfolio. It was upon this recommendation that I called her a few years later. My left breast had dropped significantly after nursing babies, the nipple had become inverted and I was experiencing pain.

My desire was not to have breast implants, but simply to repair the damage from nursing and hope to position the breasts as they were “before babies”. After an office visit and examination, Dr. Wooten confirmed there was indeed internal damage and possibly scarring caused from nursing. She explained several options. We discussed the idea of augmentation, but that really wasn’t for me. She felt the best procedure to bring the desired effect was to lift the breasts, repair the nipple and “size” the areolas to better suit a new breast shape. Dr. Wooten made me very aware that this sort of surgery was different from a breast implant in that more internal surgery was necessary and as a result, healing may take longer. External scarring was also possible. She discussed possible permanent numbness, as well as her concern that if the breasts would be smaller, I may not be satisfied with the consequences and should seriously consider an augmentation. In fact, one week before the surgery, she called me personally and asked me to stop by the office. We inserted several sizes of implants into my bra just to see if I would prefer the look. At 5’2”, I was naturally a 36DD and felt that I did not need more mass added to my chest. I refused the augmentation and the surgery proceeded as planned.

This surgery was two years ago. I have never been so happy in my life. My breasts are high, perky, the areolas are the perfect size and the left nipple reverted. The pain I was experiencing prior to surgery is absent. There was numbness for about seven months after surgery, but in time it faded completely. The initial surgical cut on each breast also faded to the point of hardly noticeable unless one is looking for a scar. I am so pleased. My shirts fit the way they are supposed to, and even though I probably don’t need a bra, I actually enjoy buying them. My breasts no longer pour out at the top or slide out from under the support wire. Bra-buying is fun and not a mission to look “normal”.

I must also commend Dr. Wooten for her “bedside manner”. It is rare to find a doctor who is personal, patient, caring and extremely concerned for both the physical, and the mental, satisfaction. To boot, her office support is knowledgeable and extremely kind. Two words that describe my experience in the office – unrushed, and kindness.

Regrets? None at all. I would do it again."

Testi "Dr. Wooten,

I wanted to e-mail you on the 1 year anniversary of my surgery, which is today!! I want to thank you for the difference you have made in my life.

It is awfully hard to have people on a weekly basis ask if you are pregnant (when you are not!). Not one single person has said that to me since my surgery!

The decision to have an abdominoplasty surgery was a very difficult one. From the moment we had our consultation , I was impressed with your honesty, knowledge, and ability to make me feel at ease...

I have never regretted having this surgery. I have my self confidence back and am able to do so much more with my children in comfort...

I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am to you and your staff, there are not enough words.

I wish you a very long and successful practice, and I will not hesitate to recommend you!

Once again, thank you so much!!!"

Testi "There must be a reason we trust in our instincts. I think its because they are usually right. The moment I entered your office and met you & your staff I knew that I wanted you to be my surgeon. Thank you so much for fixing my nose, both on the inside & outside. Not only can i breath but i love the appearance of it. I have struggled with this insecurity for so long but not anymore thanks to you. It was obvious to both myself & my family that you care about your work & your patients very much. I cant say it enough- Thank You!"

Testi "Dr Wooten,

I can't even begin to express my gratitude and appreciation to you for all that you have done for me through my breast cancer ordeal. I could never have imagined looking so good as I do being that this is my first experience with losing my breast and hopefully my last. You are a God send to me and all your patients. Thanks for being who you are, a wonderful, caring and compassionate doctor!

Bless you!"
C.H.

Testi "Dear Dr Wooten,

This is long overdue but I just wanted to express my gratitude to you for everything you have done for me since my diagnosis of breast cancer in the summer of '08. I was truly impressed the first time I met you in your office although I was not even on your schedule, but fit me in to explain different types of breast reconstruction and what breast implants entailed. At time I was beside myself and didn't know what option to choose after being told I needed a mastectomy with a DCIS diagnosis. Your calming bedside manner and confidence in what you do made me choose the implant route. The process of surgery was not bad and you answered my thousand questions with professionalism and humor.

Thanks for easing my mind so many times, including your calls while driving or after hours. I highly recommend you to anyone with a similar prognosis. You made a "terrible news day" turn into something bearable and livable. Please use my name for any of your patients in the same boat, or give me their number and I'd be glad to ease them through the process. I actually looked forward to our visits because I knew my fears and questions would be answered, and you were always correct in what you stated. Never misleading, which is a best attribute in a doctor a patient could have. I promise to come visit you in your new office (although you're probably glad to get rid of me with my notebook of questions, hee, hee) but I figure an informed decision is a good one.

Thank you for everything."

Testi "I want to thank you all very much for the wonderful experience that I shared with you at Beleza! I recently had a septoplasty with a tip rhinoplasty, and I love my results. Dr. Wooten took her time with me and really listened to what I was looking for in having this procedure done. She extensively explained all of the steps of the procedure and the post op, so I knew what to expect the entire time. The staff took their time with me to explain all of the scheduling, billing, and insurance aspects of my procedure. The staff worked above and beyond with my schedule to plan the surgery and all of the follow ups. Most importantly, Dr. Wooten did exactly what she told me she was going to do, and there were no surprises. I had a very timely follow up, and Dr. Wooten was available any time I needed her after the surgery. I am extremely happy and excited with my results. I can breathe!! I have recommended Beleza to all of my friends, and I will definitely return to Dr. Wooten for any future procedures!!"

Testi "Dr. Wooten performed my breast augmentation. I am the mother of two and I nursed both of my children for about a year each. While I was never large breasted, they had been firm and place appropriately. After nursing both of my boys, my breasts were flat and droopy. I am thin and didn't have any cleavage at all. I had to find bra's that had huge pads in them to make my chest not look so boney. Bathing suits were another matter. I had pads that stayed wet forever, and never did look like anything but triangular pads! When I turned 40, I took a look at myself and while I stay fit and go to the gym, the lack of a chest bothered me. My breasts looked deformed, they were so flat.

I found Dr. Wooten on the internet and after reading her credentials' and the photos of her work, I contacted her about breast augmentation. She was so friendly and professional. I was impressed that she wasn't a bigger is better Doctor. She talked to me like she really wanted me to look my best and that she would be able to provide that look. Her office staff was wonderful as well, and very accommodating.

I had 300cc. saline implants place submuscular. This provides me with a cup size of a B/C. I finally fill out blouses without padding. Bathing suits fit great and I feel wonderful.

The procedure and recovery itself was much better than I had anticipated. There was minimal discomfort and the sensation in my breasts came back quickly. I have very little scarring around the areola. I am very pleased with the look and feel of my breasts.

Dr. Wooten did a fantastic job, and I thank her for it!"

Testi "Dr. Wooten:

Thank you for everything you have done for me. It has been a long time since I have met a Dr. as nice and caring as you. I have never had anyone care for me as much as you have. You have to be a wonderful Mom Something I have never had.

I would also like to thank you for getting my daughter here from the army. All my children adore you. Again thanks for everything. I have been told by Dr. Merurio’s office and Dr. Pertono’s office that since I have had my surgery with you they tell other patients about how good I turned out and refer other patients to you.

I am so glad you did such a good job and now you get more patients."
