Upon arriving at the Center for Cosmetic Surgery, you are given time to read over and fill out some paper work including the "patient's bill of rights" and a questionnaire on your medical history. You are then promptly greeted by one of our board certified plastic surgeons, either Dr. Wolfe or Dr. Vath, and engage in a lengthy, in-depth discussion of your goals and desires. Testimonials

Testi "Dr. Vath,

I find myself owing you a big THANKS… for all your kindness, expertise, thoughtfulness, patient and your incredible staff."

Testi "Dear Dr. Vath,

I wanted to thank you again for doing a beautiful job on my brow lift/blephroplasty. It is really amazing to me how it has altered my appearance and elevated my mood. I wake up feeling brighter and less like I have to work to hold my eyes open. I feel much more awake in the morning. I think the fact that no one has noticed is a testimony to how you blend art and science into your surgery. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart."

Testi "Hi. I'm a mother of three. After breastfeeding my last child I went from size 38 C to size 36 AA. I find this very embarrassing. I decided to undergo a breast augmentation surgery. Dr. Vath answered all of my questions and did a fantastic job on the surgery. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed every step of the way. I walked into his office as a "mom" but I walked out as a "hot mom." I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. I feel happy, confident again and forever grateful. Truly this has been one of the best experiences of my life. I've known Dr. Vath for several months. He is radiant, nurturing and extremely gifted physician. I would recommend him very highly to anyone."

Testi "Flying to Denver to Dr. Vath for my laser bra breast reduction and tummy tuck was the best thing I've ever done. I look and feel like a new woman! He is not only an outstanding surgeon, just as I was promised, but he is a kind, caring person who made me feel great about myself."

Testi "Dear Dr. Andrew Wolfe:

Hello. I am writing to tell you of the very positive experience I had in your office recently. I was in on July 29th for a breast augmentation consultation and I was extremely impressed by the attitude and concern you and your staff showed to me. I have been to two other doctors for the same kind of consultation, and I did not leave their offices' thinking "This is the doctor that is going to perform my surgery." I felt that way leaving your office. I was excited and positive about the experience, and the upcoming surgery.

While I realize that there is some amount of 'customer service' quality to your business, I left feeling that you take a more personal approach than business approach. I appreciate that, no matter how much of it is my own interpretation or not. It didn't sound like you had given that speech 8000 other times, or seen so many other patients. You were not put off by any of my questions or answers, and that is rare. Your staff, Diana in particular, was also very helpful in answering my questions, which I'm sure she has answered for others a million times.

I really want to thank you for your attention and time. I am hoping to have surgery this year (I actually wanted it by my birthday - September 24), I am just having some issues getting the finances all in order. I know that when I do get surgery, I would like to schedule it with you. Thank you again!"

Testi "Dr. Vath, Cheryl, Chris, Liz & Diana,

Thank you so much for putting a smile on my face. Your support and kindness made me realize that I made the right decision. Even with all my calls of concern.

I'm extremely happy with my results and would send anyone your way! Thanks again, you have a great team and I hope you know how much I appreciate everything you have done.

See you in the Spring!"

Testi "Dr. Vath -

THANKS FOR THE LIFT!

You did a great job. I love my new "look" - it's already made a difference in my life.

I also want to compliment you and Dr. Wolfe on the environment you've created in your practice. People do make a difference. Debbie, Cheryl and Chris are all friendly, fun and professional. They and you made me feel "worthy" and comfortable throughout the whole process.

This was no the case in 2003 when I explored cosmetic surgery options with four other surgeons (all more experienced).

Best wishes for your continued success."

Testi "Dear Dr. Wolfe,

Thank you for the amazing and incredibly unbelievable transformation you have made to my body. I am in awe of your skill. I don't even know if I can find the words to express how truly grateful I am. I have not had the opportunity to tell you in person and I would probably screw it up anyway. So, I'll just give you an idea of what's going on in two short months post-op.

During my fist couple of days at home, I spent a real good portion of it stoned out of my mind. Not always a bad way to spend a few afternoons. Then came the day when the "cling wrap" was removed - pretty exciting! Wow! Body parts actually stay suspended in mid-air! I went home and showed my daughters. I really wanted to show everyone but I did restrain myself.

Then came the day when all of my family went back to their lives and I was left to myself. I stood in front of my bathroom mirror and took my first real intense look at breasts. Even now as I recall that day I am overwhelmed with emotion. I stood there for the longest time and cried. I thanked God for such a lovely thing. I thanked you for doing such a beautiful job. I thanked my husband for loving me enough to know what I needed long before I even had a clue. I thanked the universe just because. You just happened to be the only one who hasn't heard the words - thank you.

Since I was 15 years old I have been ashamed of my breasts. Forever hiding them - they have been like a deformity to me. Undressing anywhere was horrifying. Gym class showers were like hell. I actually needed 4 years of P.E. credits when I left school because I chose not to attend class than to be so humiliated.

Here I am 30 years later - with something way too wonderful to comprehend. I bought a blue bra with tiny little straps and a two-piece swimsuit. These are things I've only dreamed about owning. I'm still way too critical of myself and unbelievably obsessive. I still see all my flaws in bright, vivid color and I'm sure I imagine them to be much larger than they truly are. But, now my loathing is gone. I can walk in the wind and not want to die. I can hold my head up without being disgraced. You can't even imagine. Thank you again.

Most gratefully yours.

Oh by the way, I work with a lot of middle age and older women who all wanted to have something done. I've been handing out your number like crazy - expect the phone calls. I could work on commission or just let me drive the car for 15 minutes."

Testi "Dear Dr. Vath,

Hi, I just wanted to say a great big THANK YOU! For all that you've done for me! I know that my Tummy Tuck surgery was part of your "job," but I couldn't be happier with the results! Your care and concern, has been very professional and sincere and I so appreciate you and your office staff.

I never thought that I'd feel good about my body again. After seven children and lost of yo-yo dieting, the lap band surgery etc…you have helped make my life a lot more enjoyable and so again I'd like to say Thanks! And you were right; I am wearing things that I never in a million years thought I'd ever wear. I'm actually looking forward to the summer, when I can wear a bathing suit and not be embarrassed by extra skin on my stomach!

If you'd like to use ma as a patient referral please don't hesitate to contact me. I'd be more than happy to share my experience with anyone!

Thanks again and much success to you in the future!"

Testi "I don't have the words to express my appreciation. Dr. Vath, you are an amazing human being. My sincerest wishes for all the best that life may bring you."

Testi "Dear Dr. Wolfe,

I am writing you to thank you for your superb work on my tummy tuck.

For thirty years I have lived with a 6" surgical scar downward from my belly button that was later widened by pregnancy and "enhanced" by multiple stretch marks along with loss of skin elasticity also associated with pregnancy.

I just assumed the "ugly" tummy skin would be part of me for the rest of my life.

I educated myself on the cosmetic procedure of a tummy tuck and chose you to perform the surgery.

The results are outstanding and far better than I had anticipated!! The post-operative discomfort was minimal. In fact, I never once took pain medication.

Daily, I admire your work in my mirror and cannot thank you enough for ridding me of my "ugly" skin. At the age of 46, I never imagined I could again enjoy such a curvy and tight waist line that you gave me.

Many, many heart-felt thank you's!"

Testi "Dearest Dr. Wolfe,

I wanted to sit down and share a few thoughts with you. First, let me start by saying "WOW!!!" Ok, now we can proceed. When I went up to meet you for the first time, you were so full of energy, I remember you were eating in between patients, and yet you still dropped your lunch for me. Not to mention losing me in the hall... haha. When we first really talked in your office I knew you were the one that I trusted from that moment. It was not your recovery photos or your talent... they speak for themselves. It was your heart, it shines through when you speak to a patient! You are so passionate about your patients that the love of helping them achieve their goals is what truly matters to you. You are not a surgeon who just is there for the money like most are... your there for the "TRUE PASSION" to help others. That is what sets you apart from others.

There is a saying I'm sure you know. "Any one can father a child, but it takes a real man to be a DADDY." Well, the same goes in the world of surgeons. "Any one can use a scalpel and operate on a patient, but it takes a man with a heart of gold and a true passion for life that sets one doctor above the rest!" I hope you will continue to practice for many years to come and if an when you retire, well let's just say that the man that replaces you will have some "PRETTY BIG SHOES TO FILL."

On a more personal note, I would like to say thank you for all the extras you did for me. It is hard when a woman has a "so-called perfect body" in her early twenties and then becomes a mother! Boy what a number it does on your self esteem. It is rare to find a doctor who really listens to his patients, and visions what they want or even who they were 20 years ago. To take what I told you and to work your magic, well I'm in awe!!! You heard every word I spoke, took the time to look at photos with me and changed my life! You brought my confidence to an all time high again. I'm so glad you can really hear what a woman wants.

This letter is just a way for me to say thank you for giving me back to me! Thanks!!!"

Testi "I just wanted to let Dr. Vath know how much I appreciate what he has done for me. I have my youthful face back and a flat tummy, of which I never really had even as a teenager. I always had something of a fat pouch. I refer Dr. Vath to everyone. I tell them he has a great sense of humor as I pick on him every time I visit him. He really is a very delightful young man. Thank you so much for everything and for putting up with me."

Testi "Doctor Vath,

I would like to thank you for the marvelous results of the surgery you performed on me. When I mentioned having only liposuction, and that I did not care hot it turned out, I just wanted to look better in my clothes, the expression on your face was one of sincere concern, and it haunted me when I left your office.

I am so glad I decided to do the tuck... and even if no one sees it but me, I can feel good about myself when I look in the mirror. I think I have the most beautiful tummy in the world now! I cannot say "thank you" enough.

On the other hand, the recuperation was a "dog"!!! But overall, it was worth all the pain and every penny!!!

You are an extremely talented and humble young man. I wish you all the best!!!"

Testi "Dear Dr. Wolfe,

I'm not sure when I stopped "looking" in the mirror, certainly it was many years ago, probably around the time I stopped letting people take my picture.

It is now 3 weeks post-op. I am so happy with my surgery. It's way more than I expected.

Look at me... just look at the beautiful job Dr. Wolfe did. Amazing! Thank you so much.

I really do "look" in the mirror now and as you can see, I even had pictures taken.

Thanks to your wonderful staff, too."

Testi "When I first e-mailed you in January, I don't think I had imagined how much a procedure from you could improve my life. I had always been extremely embarrassed and ashamed of my inverted nipple, and I cannot thank you enough for fixing me! I am so satisfied with the results of the surgery. Unlike a lot of people, I did not want anything special or out of the ordinary. I only wanted to be normal, and you gave me that. I can have an actual relationship without holding anything back. Most of all, I can be happy with myself.

I was so nervous when I came in for my consultation that my hands were sweating. But I did not feel judged when I told you what I needed done, and I left the office that day feeling like I had taken a step forward. I had finally acknowledged that I had a problem and finally, FINALLY, I was going to get it fixed.

The nurse who helped in the actual surgery was kind, and though I was understandably nervous, she helped me to relax. After the surgery, I felt like I could finally relax for good, with my unusual problem gone.

So, thank you, Dr. Vath, for giving me the gift that will forever be with me. I finally feel completely normal."

Testi "I want to thank you for the amazing breast implant job you did for me. After the surgery, I experienced minimal pain, almost no swelling and no bruises at all. I am loving my new breasts' size and shape.

I feel so feminine and confident of my body contour and that is making me very happy everyday. With this new look and confidence, I am prepared for whatever new adventures & experiences life is going to bring me.

Thank you again."

Testi "Dear Dr. Wolfe,

I have been struggling to find the right words to express our heartful gratitude for the kindness you've given to us. We are deeply indebted to you for your skill in repairing my torn lip."

Testi "Dear Dr. Wolfe,

Your staff-every one of them-has been incredibly helpful in guiding me through this unfamiliar adventure. Thanks to you and thanks to everyone!"

Testi "Dear Dr. Vath,

I just wanted to extend a sincere thank you for taking me on as a patient, performing the "procedure" in your office, and doing the job to the best of your ability. It had been something I had wanted to do for quite sometime and I cannot express how immensely grateful I am. Please pass along my appreciation to the rest of your very professional and pleasant staff!!!"

Testi "Dr. Vath,

Thank you for being my sunshine through all that rain!!!"

Testi "Dr. Vath,

There are people you meet along the way that really make a difference in our life and you are one of those people! I can't thank you enough. You're not only an amazing truly gifted surgeon but a very nice caring man. I could not be more pleased and you exceeded my hopes. I'm so grateful for choosing you!!"

Testi "Dr. Vath,

Just want to let you know that those kind words you said to me gave me hope before I had surgery. So, I want to say: Thank you!"

Testi "Dear Dr. Wolfe,

I had to cancel my last appt. but will see you on the 25th. In the meantime, I want you to know how absolutely Thrilled I am with my procedure! It's perfect!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!"

Testi "Dr. Vath,

Just wanted to say thank you for my new "me." I feel so much better!

Thanks for you time!"

Testi "Dear Dr. Vath,

I am very happy with the lack of pain! I am so grateful for you generosity! I couldn't have stumbled upon a better doctor!"

Testi "Dear Dr. Vath,

Thank you for doing my breast augmentation surgery. Not only were you helpful during the consultation, but you were even more helpful post-op. My husband and I called you several times with questions and you were right there to answer them. You also stopped what you were doing (I think surgery) to look at how I was doing the next day, so we didn't have to drive back down from Cheyenne. I hope you know how much this means to us. And now that the pain is finally going away - I'm really enjoying them.

Thank you again."

Testi "You gave me back my body and my life!"

Testi "Dear Dr. Wolfe,

Thank you so much for everything you have done for me.it has totally changed my life! You enabled me to have surgery that I could never have afforded. You are a wonderful doctor and a special person.

Thanks."

Testi "Dear Dr. Wolfe,

I am almost 4 weeks post-op from my tummy tuck and breast augmentation and I wanted to tell you I couldn't be happier! You really did a fantastic job. My scars appear small and very well done compared to many of the pictures I have seen since my surgery. I feel great and I am receiving many compliments. Thank you for all you have done, it is priceless and my self-esteem has sky-rocketed! I will always recommend you."

Testi "Dr. Wolfe,

I just want to thank you so much for doing such a spectacular job with my augmentation surgery. I truly never thought it would to as great as it did (and I'm an optimistic person), but after Boone and I met with you, we felt very confident and comfortable with your surgical skills. I know that, because you are a very skilled surgeon, my recovery and overall experience with this entire "adventure" has been remarkable. Plus, I LOVE my new "C-cup" self. I will spread the news of your fabulous work to anyone interested! B. and I are very thankful for the patience and care you gave us. THANK YOU!"

Testi "Dr. Wolfe & Staff,

I'm not sure I can express how grateful I am to have been blessed with such an amazing doctor. At first I was afraid to look at myself. I wanted to wait so I would not be scared by swelling, bleeding or bruising. However, my family seemed so pleased with the surgery that I could not help but look. And when I did, I was in awe. Tears of joy welled in my eyes. I am so happy with the results. I want to say thanks to you and all the wonderful people who shared so much concern for me. (Especially the Mary's.) I feel that when I begin my new school year I will have what I have always lacked most.confidence. I truly will have a shot at a fresh new start. And years to come I know I will never have any regrets, and will always be happy with what I see."

Testi "Dr. Wolfe,

I wanted to thank you for a smooth surgery 2 weeks ago - in spite of all my anxieties. I also wanted to ask you to thank Jennifer for her help and friendliness. The swelling on my face is subsiding - and no, I don't look like the photo on this card. I'm glad I got the operation done.

Thanks."

Qualifications

Andrew Wolfe, M.D.

Dr. Wolfe was raised in New York, the middle of three brothers. Of his English professor parents, he says, "Education was always a high priority for them, and they instilled in me and my brothers a love of learning that persists today." Academic success certainly runs strong among the Wolfe brothers. Older brother Peter is an MIT-trained business consultant who helps Fortune 500 companies improve, while younger brother Michael is an Emergency Medicine physician in California. "It was just understood in my family that the bar was set very high," says Dr. Wolfe, "and we all strived to excel."

Dr. Wolfe received his Bachelors degree in Psychology from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. While at Cornell, Dr. Wolfe found that he enjoyed the concrete aspects of his scientific studies more that the "softer" side of Psychology, and he soon changed his focus to a pre-medical curriculum. His medical studies continued at the Chicago Medical School, where Dr. Wolfe was accepted into an honors Pathology program which allowed him to receive a Master's Degree with a focus on wound healing while completing his M.D. studies. During medical school, it became clear to Dr. Wolfe what type of physician he would become. "I am a surgeon by nature," he says. "To a great extent, you don't really choose a specialty as much as it chooses you." Plastic Surgery's appeal for Dr. Wolfe was immediate, and was based, in part, on the breadth of the specialty. "Hand, craniofacial, reconstructive, cosmetic – there is just so much to do that you could never get bored."

After medical school, Dr. Wolfe was offered a coveted spot in Georgetown University's Integrated Program in Plastic Surgery. A six-year curriculum, the Integrated Program was one of a handful of pioneering residencies which sought to improve the quality of Plastic Surgery training by increasing the specialty-specific exposure while decreasing extraneous material. While at Georgetown, Dr. Wolfe had the privilege of working with a number of renowned Plastic Surgeons, and published a number of articles on a range of Plastic Surgery topics. He received several honors during his training, including induction into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society.

In choosing a place to settle after residency, Dr. Wolfe and his wife, Heidi, chose Colorado for a number of reasons. "We both love the outdoors, and Colorado offers unparalleled opportunity for recreation, in both summer and winter." In addition, Denver was not yet saturated with Plastic Surgeons. In 2001, Dr. Wolfe joined the practice of Dr. Ronald Tegtmeier, a Plastic Surgeon who retired two years later. Upon Dr. Tegtmeier's retirement, Dr. Wolfe founded the Center for Cosmetic Surgery. In 2004 he was joined in practice by Dr. Steven Vath.

Dr. Wolfe is passionate about his work, and thoroughly enjoys both the personal and technical aspects of the specialty. He believes that the physician-patient relationship is truly a partnership. "I have to understand a patient's history, desires, and physical status before I can recommend a course of actions. At the same time", Dr. Wolfe says, "the patient has to learn about the various options available for any given procedure before she can make an informed decision." Patient education is a high priority at the Center for Cosmetic Surgery and Dr. Wolfe spends a great deal of time with his patients, both before and after surgery, making sure that they understand their surgical options. At the Center for Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Wolfe has created a blend of state-of-the-art techniques and more traditional approaches. "I'm not shy about adopting new techniques or procedures," he says, "but I need to be sure that they are safe and effective first." Above all, Dr. Wolfe feels privileged to be able to perform the work he does. "Virtually everything I do is elective, and I consider it an honor to be chosen by a patient to perform their surgery."

Dr. Wolfe is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Steven Vath, M.D.

Selecting a Plastic Surgeon can be an intense and personal process. I understand how important it is that you feel comfortable not only with my professional credentials, technical ability, and surgical results, but also with my character as a whole. My interactions with patients and the relationships we develop are rewarding on a daily basis. I enjoy relating to a diversity of people's desires and then matching these goals with the best suited surgical plans. My passion for both the artistic and meticulous aspects of Plastic Surgery technique allows me to thoroughly enjoy my craft. As you delve into the world of Plastic Surgery, I hope that your experience is as enjoyable and rewarding for you as it is for me.

I initially decided upon a career path in Plastic Surgery during my General Surgery residency at George Washington University. I was impressed and inspired by the effect that such detail oriented and artistic surgical procedures had on patients' lives. After finishing my General Surgery residency, I received my Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at the Louisiana State University Medical Center and Charity Hospital. I then sought further specialized training in cosmetic Plastic Surgery in Los Angeles at one of only a dozen fellowships in the country accredited by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

My wife and I decided to settle in Denver because of the fantastic quality of life, down-to-earth people, and gorgeous mountains. Both born in the mid-Atlantic east coast, we feel that Colorado offers an ideal blend of big-city sophistication and amenities, outdoor living, and minimal congestion. I enjoy, skiing, snowboarding, trail running, marathons, weight lifting, tennis, golf, playing guitar and singing. Raising children in the ideally balanced and healthy Colorado environment is the most gratifying experience of all.

My practice is exclusively devoted to cosmetic Plastic Surgery including aesthetic facial, breast, and body contouring procedures. I am a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS, www.plasticsurgery.org), the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS, www.surgery.org) and am double Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS, www.abplsurg.org) and the American Board of Surgery (ABS, www.absurgery.org). I have been published in peer-reviewed Plastic Surgery journals on various topics including breast reduction, combined cosmetic surgery, liposuction and abdominoplasty, breast reconstruction, and inverted nipple repair. I have also presented at several national and international Plastic Surgery meetings including the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery conference.

My practice philosophy is simple: to achieve the best possible surgical results while minimizing recovery time. I blend tried-and-true, classic surgical procedures proven safe and effective over decades with innovative, state-of-the art techniques. During the initial consultation, I first listen to you and understand your priorities and goals. I examine the areas you wish to concentrate upon and discuss the surgical options that will provide the desired aesthetic transformation. I will diagram the techniques discussed and present a wealth of patient photographs before and after having undergone these procedures. All of your questions will be answered and I will certainly respect the sensitive, emotional, and personal nature of your concerns. You will not feel rushed as we tailor an individualized, comprehensive plan together. My primary goal is your happiness after surgery. If this may not be achievable, as Plastic Surgery can not address every hope, I will certainly explain this to you. My approach during the consultation is extremely open and honest regarding the attributes and drawbacks of Plastic Surgery. Ultimately, all decisions are yours. Once communication lines are opened, many people discover that Plastic Surgery can offer wonderful benefits to them. It is my privilege to provide this care for my patients.
