Qualifications

Dr. Volpe is a highly trained and skilled surgeon in cosmetic plastic surgery of the face and body, renowned for his artistry and exceptional results. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). In addition to being Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Dr. Volpe is also a member of several local, national and international prestigious plastic surgery societies. He earned his medical degree at McGill University Faculty of Medicine. Seven intensive years after medical school were spent learning the art and science of surgery and plastic surgery in Massachusetts, earning board certifications in both specialties. Further training in advanced plastic surgery was obtained in Paris, France and Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Volpe holds faculty positions at both Tufts University and the University of Massachusetts.

There are many less fortunate places in this world. Every year Dr. Volpe, with a professional support staff, travels to a remote corner of South America. The team treats many poor children with facial and other birth defects allowing them to smile and speak normally, and start a new life.
