The Art of Plastic Surgery is more than a marketing catch phrase for Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Edward J Bednar MD. Dr. Bednar’s artistic background spans more than 40 years as he has been painting ,carving and sculpting since he was eight years of age. He gave a painting instruction demonstration to his sixth grade class at eleven years of age at the same time he also embarked on his carving endeavors eventually leading to award winning carvings at a World Championship level. His artistic aptitudes were largely responsible for his acceptance into the prestigious University of Miami Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training program under Dr. D Ralph Millard. It was the artistic and strong philosophical approach of Dr. Millard which fostered Dr. Bednar’s application of artistic aptitudes and principles to plastic surgery. "I just had my 1 week post-op after breast augmentation. I am already settling very nicely. I am 43 years old and decided that it was time for a little "makeover." my daughter had her breasts done with Dr. Bednar 5 years ago and she is still thrilled with the results. I am very small-framed and am comfortable with a small C now ( I was barely a b after kids). The look is very very natural and totally fits my frame. I did not want the so-called implanted look and wanted people to wonder whether I had them done or not. i definitely do not want to look like Posh Spice with her two balloons. I am very happy and even my daughter thinks that mom looks hot. My only regret is now that I did not do this sooner.

"I flew down to Charlotte to have my surgery with Dr. Bednar. I did extensive research on the internet and after looking at before and after photos as well as asking about him in chat rooms and other resources, I decided to have surgery there. He is highly recommended and has a wonderful way of explaining all the details to you. It was definitely worth coming all the way down there even though I could have had the surgery in Maryland. The staff was very very helpful and I felt that I could have not been treated better. "Dr. Bednar is an amazing surgeon, plus an accomplished artist. I met Dr. Bednar many year ago when I got kicked in the face by a horse. It was a terrible day, but Dr. Bednar with his calming manner and comforting approach took special care of me. The gash that was left in my face by the horse hoof was jagged and cut completely through. I actually could put my tongue through it. I thought I would have a severe scar from the kick. Dr. Bednar took me in , calmed me down and proceeded to repair the damaged area. When he was finished, he told me not to worry, it would heal and there wouldn't be a awful scar there. I thought, "Yeah right". On my return visit, his welcoming staff greeted me and treated me like I had been coming there for years. I soon was escorted back to one of the treatment rooms where Dr. Bednar promptly proceeded to remove the sutures. His kind temperament and steady hands were very reassuring to me. Once he was finish, he handed me a mirror and said with a Smile, "Take a Look". Well to my surprise, you could hardly see where the large gash had been, other than a little redness where it was still healing, there wasn't this horrible scar like I thought there would be there. The redness soon disappeared and you would not know that anything had ever happened. Since that time, I have been back for several procedures with Dr. Bednar. What I have done is between me and Dr. Bednar (lol). He is brilliant. If you are looking for a Doctor who is at the top of their game, but still listens and has a great bedside manner, then he is the only doctor for you. I know he is the only one for me.
Lets not forget his wonderful staff and Sylvia. What can I say about Sylvia? Nothing but, she is fantastic. Charismatic, knowledgeable, and has a delightful personality. All ways ready to help, educate and answer any questions you may have. Dr. Bednar and his wonderful staff will make sure you have the best of care and their attention to detail is exceptional. You will be thrilled with the results. I know I was years ago and they continue to amaze me with the great work they do."
"Dr. Bednar has been my doctor for several years. I have had a few different types of procedures and each one has been amazing. He has the gift of making you look great but not like you have had something done. It is a great compliment when your friends say I know there is something different, you look great and they have no idea you have had plastic surgery. "I had breast augmentation last month and I am more than happy with the results. I opted for the teardrop shape and am a full c/small d with 450 ccs. They look very natural and perfectly fit my frame. I chose Dr. Bednar based upon credentials and a great reputation. Also, he offers more than one implant shape, such as the teardrop, which I was really interested in. Apparently, he has used the implant since inception both for reconstructive and cosmetic reasons.
