Knowing what to expect each step along the way is comforting and reassuring. Depending on the specific surgery, there are often many steps involved - your consultation, scheduling your surgery, then the procedure itself, followed by recovery and post-operative care.

One of Dr. Thors’ focuses when consulting with his patients is acknowledging their individuality, while helping them accomplish their goals. Former patients and referring physicians appreciate how Dr. Thors and his staff closely listen to their patients, thereby providing excellent surgical results.

Dr. Thors offers financing through a reputable healthcare financing company in order to help make your plastic surgery procedure more affordable.

Qualifications

“While my reconstructive and aesthetic patients come to surgery for different needs, the common factor and the most gratifying aspect of what I do is to see how Plastic Surgery enhances emotional and physical well being and self confidence. I and my staff love what we do, and we promise to treat you with integrity and consideration. We hope to gain your trust and to establish a long-term relationship.”
- Dr. Gunnar Thors

As with any medical procedure, the single most important factor in the success of cosmetic plastic surgery is the surgeon you select. Therefore, patients should review their surgeon’s credentials before making a decision to have plastic surgery. Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) means that the surgeon has completed medical school, an approved general surgery residency of at least three years, and an approved plastic surgery residency of an additional two to three years. Board certification then is obtained only after the candidate has been in plastic surgery practice for at least two years and has passed rigorous written and oral examinations. Dr. Thors is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as the American Board of Surgery.
