Qualifications

Board certified in both Plastic Surgery and General Surgery, Dr. Gallas began his medical career in Houston by training at the Texas Medical Center. He completed his general surgery training at Baylor College of Medicine where he worked with such pioneer greats as Dr. Michael E. DeBakey.

Dr. Gallas pursued his interests in plastic surgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, where he gained extensive experience with working with Breast Implants, and subsequently developed skills in reconstructive microsurgery as a fellow in the Department of Plastic Surgery at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. After 8 years of refinement of surgical skill, he completed his formal training in 1999. Dr. Gallas also had the privilege and honor of training under Dr. Frank Gerow, one of the inventors of the Breast Implant.

Dr. Gallas is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Michael E. DeBakey International Surgical Society.

Dr. Gallas attributes his skill as a physician to the many years of training in the various surgical specialties.
