Cosmetic surgery is an important part of our practice, and we pride ourselves on keeping current with the latest techniques, and doing them well. Not everyone who calls one's self a "cosmetic surgeon" has the training and experience that comes with being a plastic surgeon.
In the area of cosmetic surgery, we perform abdominoplasty, liposuction, breast augmentation and lifting, eyelid surgery, and facelift.

Office
Our Practice has been a vital part of the Southern Tier of New York since 1972. When Dr. James Marshall started the practice his goal was to bring the expertise of specialized plastic surgery to Elmira & surrounding communities. His tireless efforts resulted in the ability of this practice to provide a Regional Burn Care Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital as well as state of the art surgical treatment for hand trauma, cosmetic surgery and reconstruction of breast and lower extremities due to congenital deformity, cancer treatment or trauma.
We continue to provide individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of patients to improve their function, self image and quality of life.
In 2003, we opened our accredited office based same day surgery center, The Turning Point of the Fingerlakes, LLC.
Our office is conveniently located to local hospitals and business in the heart of downtown Elmira. Parking is free in our lot and our building is handicap accessible. Our office houses patient consultation rooms, Skin Care and Laser hair removal room. Office based surgery rooms and our accredited same day surgery center.
We make every effort to accommodate your scheduling preferences and to keep waiting to a minimum. Phones are answered all day during regular office hours, including the lunch hour. When our office is closed, our phone is answered by our answering service.
If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, we ask that you call our office as soon as you can, so that we can accommodate someone who has been waiting for an appointment.
When you come in to our office, you will first meet Tina, our Receptionist. She will help you with your registration, insurance information, etc. You will also meet Susan, Jennifer and Susan, our Medical Team. They can answer any questions you might have regarding your healthcare concerns. If you have any questions regarding Microdermabrasion, skin care, laser hair removal or laser spider vein removal, you will speak with Amber, Katie or Susan. If you need to schedule surgery, you will meet Melissa. She will take care of all the details for your surgery. If you have billing insurance questions, you will speak with Tammy.
Each member of our caring and professional team is specially trained in his or her field in order to ensure expertise. It is our goal to assist patients with special needs and quality care at all times.
