Qualifications

Dr. Kim Meathrel, BSc, MD, FRCSC is the Medical Director of U Cosmetic.

Dr Meathrel is a fully trained plastic surgeon certified by the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Dr Meathrel received her medical degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and completed five years of plastic surgery residency at McMaster Universityin Hamilton, Ontario. Her residency included dedicated training in cosmetic surgery. She then completed a one year fellowship at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Meathrel has been in practice in Kingston since 2006 and is on staff at both the Hotel Dieu and Kingston General Hospitals and is an associate professor of surgery at Queen’s University. She is an active member in the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a candidate with the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
