Testi "I am trying to think of the part of my experience as a patient of Dr. Breitbart that was the most extraordinary. I don’t believe I can single out one particular aspect as the entire experience was extraordinary. After having lost a significant amount of weight through diet, I was still carrying around the effects of obesity. Correcting the deformity 360 degrees around my body would require a circumferential belt lipectomy. This substantial surgery would necessitate a contouring of my entire abdomen and back. I searched websites and went to several consultations and never felt entirely comfortable or confident.

It was a word of mouth recommendation, of course, that lead me to Dr. Breitbart. Thank goodness. Dr. Breitbart, from the initial consultation, lived up the words used to describe him. He graciously and gently combines safe, sound reasoning with an absolute understanding of the architecture of the body. However, it is his attention to detail and eye for esthetics that his raises his work to the level of art. It was immediately apparent that he regarded my needs and cared about my goals.

My surgery and aftercare was surprisingly comfortable, problem free, and the results far exceed my expectations. Simply put, I could not imagine my body could look this good. Testi "The 1st time I met Dr. Bretibart, I knew that I had chosen the best doctor to perform my abdominoplasty ("tummy tuck") & inner and outer thigh Liposuction. The staff made me feel comfortable & at ease, being both efficient as well as friendly.

Education, Experience, and Training

Dr. Arnold Breitbart graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University and obtained his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at NYU Medical Center, and went on to complete fellowships in craniofacial surgery at NYU Medical Center, and microsurgery and breast reconstruction at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.

At the forefront of cosmetic surgery, Dr. Breitbart has published more than 40 articles and presented at more than 50 national and international plastic surgery conferences. Outside of his Manhattan and Long Island cosmetic surgery practices, Dr. Arnold Breitbart has academic appointments as Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and at Weill Cornell University Medical College. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Breitbart has a keen interest in art and the artistry of cosmetic surgery. He studied art history while at Princeton, and has taken drawing classes at the Art Students League and School of Visual Arts in New York.

Despite a busy professional life, Dr. Breitbart has also devoted himself to numerous charitable causes. He is an accomplished marathon runner and has raised money running marathons for causes ranging from the American Diabetes Association to Hurricane Katrina relief and the treatment of burn victims.
