By combining the Art and Science of Medicine, Plastic Surgery was the perfect career choice for Dr. Wells. Her goal is to establish a Center for excellence in Plastic Surgery.
She completed 7 years of residency in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the world-renowned University of Pittsburgh Hospitals. Dr. Wells is double board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Prior to that, she graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University with a B.S. degree and received her M.D. degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine. Selected by her peers, Dr. Wells has been included in the book The Best Doctors in America: Southeast Region for the 1996-97, 1998-99, 2000-2001,2002-2003,and 2005-2006 editions. She was included in the Best Doctors for Breast Cancer Treatment in the October 2003 Redbook magazine.
After nine years of a successful academic practice at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Wells started her Cosmetic Plastic Surgery office in 1999. She sees patients in her South Tampa Hyde Park office, and in North Tampa at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.
