The Treatment You Deserve

A board-certified plastic surgeon with more than 15 years of
experience, Dr. Pinsky, who is an FDA clinical investigator for
Juvederm® and a key opinion leader for Allergan, delivers an
unbeatable combination of technical expertise and a keen artistic
sense to every patient. “So much of the surgical result is
dependent upon the quality of care delivered prior to surgery,”
says Dr. Pinsky, whose practice focuses on procedures of the
breast, body and face. He feels that what differentiates him in
the arena of cosmetic surgery is his emphasis on understanding
a patient’s emotions. “Appearance and psyche are inextricably
intertwined.” By carefully tuning in to what the patients are
saying, he is able to provide alternatives and feedback necessary
for a natural result. Dr. Pinsky recognizes the emotionally
charged decision associated with elective surgery and has built
his practice around maximizing the entire experience. He has
surrounded himself with a team of professionals committed to
holistic care. “I ensure that all my patients are informed and
empowered about procedures. My staff is highly trained to
serve as a personal support system through every step of the
process.”

With the current state of our healthcare system, even doctors
specializing in elective procedures can become mechanical—
but not Dr. Pinsky. “My business is more about satisfied patients
and less about the number of procedures. If a patient tells me
we met her expectations, we have failed. Only if we exceed
expectations can we count on building the relationships necessary
for future success.” Dr. Pinsky is regularly sought out to
speak at plastic surgery conferences. He was a featured guest
speaker at the 16th Chinese-Japan Joint Meeting on Plastic
Surgery, held in Harbin, China in August 2006.

WHY DID YOU BECOME A PLASTIC SURGEON

As a first-year dental student, I attended a lecture
on facial reconstruction. I was inspired by the surgeon’s
work and decided medical school was my
calling.

MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU’VE
LEARNED FROM YOUR PATIENTS

They have
taught me to be a better listener. To hear what they
are saying, but more importantly, what they are not
saying. I can do the same surgery a hundred times
and use a hundred different approaches because no
two patients are alike.

WHAT FASCINATES YOU
MOST ABOUT THE HUMAN BODY

Genetically,
we all begin as one cell—microscopic DNA. After
dividing exponentially, a human being is born. We
are all miracles.

PLACE YOU GO TO ESCAPE

I love the peace and quiet of the golf course.
