Welcome to the Indiana plastic surgery practice of Dr. Gus Galante. It is our goal to provide the best patient care and to achieve the results you desire. We offer a number of procedures, including liposuction, face lift, eyelid surgery, and breast enlargement in Indiana. Our team strives to answer any questions regarding plastic surgery so that you are comfortable and informed. Each member of our staff is committed to providing compassionate, confidential, and quality cosmetic surgery care. We have two offices in Northwest Indiana for your convenience.

Dr. Galante finds it very gratifying to see the positive effects that cosmetic surgery can have on his patients. These individuals, seeking a physical appearance that reflects what they feel inside, appreciate a newfound sense of confidence and self-esteem.

Welcome to Dr. Gustavo Galante's cosmetic surgery practice, serving Northwest Indiana with offices in Schererville and Valparaiso. We strive to provide the best patient care and achieve the results you desire from your cosmetic surgery. It is our goal to create an environment where you can relax and feel comfortable with making very important and personal decisions about your body.

A cosmetic surgery consultation with board-certified Indiana plastic surgeon Dr. Galante provides patients with the opportunity to discuss specific cosmetic surgery goals and expectations. A thorough evaluation, including a medical history and physical examination, is performed to offer the best treatment options. We believe in utilizing safe, effective, and time-tested cosmetic surgery techniques to achieve realistic and natural-looking results. We are committed to patient education and believe this is the foundation for a favorable cosmetic surgery outcome and a satisfied patient.

Surgery Center
Dr. Galante also believes that the quality and safety of the surgical environment is very similar when comparing a surgery center and a hospital. "The actual operating room environment is 100% the same between a hospital and surgery center for my needs - same level of equipment, personnel, instruments, and safety protocols. The only difference I can see is that hospitals have rooms for overnight stays, while the surgery centers where I work are strictly outpatient only." Dr. Galante makes every patient's safety a paramount priority. While outpatient surgery is extremely safe, a transfer protocol exists to relocate a patient to the nearest hospital facility if the need arises.

Qualifications

Dr. Gustavo Galante, M.D., pursued a career in medicine because he felt this field best combined his love for science and his affinity for the humanities. Raised in Northwest Indiana, Dr. Galante obtained a liberal arts education at Wabash College, graduating summa cum laude. He received his medical education from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society as recognition of his academic distinction.

After serving his general and plastic surgery residencies at the Loyola University Medical Center, Dr. Galante completed a fellowship in aesthetic surgery and reconstructive breast surgery at the Institute for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Nashville, Tennessee. He has since established two practices specializing in plastic surgery, one in Schererville and one in Valparaiso. Both are located near Merrillville in Northwest Indiana.

Dr. Galante is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, The American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Ohio Valley Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Galante has been asked to speak to a number of lay and medical audiences on a variety of plastic surgery topics. He is an active and involved member of his community, donating his time to local community projects and charitable organizations.
