Eric R. Mariotti, M.D.

From a young age, Dr. Eric Mariotti knew that he wanted to be a surgeon. Not only did it mean following in his father's footsteps, it was a personal passion. "My mother taught me how to sew when I was ten years old, and I've never stopped," he quips. Today, he feels blessed to have found one of the best jobs he could ever think to have – a plastic surgeon serving Walnut Creek, Danville and other East Bay communities.

The specialty of plastic surgery, however, was not something he'd considered until a friend in medical school convinced him to take an elective in reconstructive surgery. After the third day, he was in love. "I remember coming home after the first week and telling my wife 'I have found my calling.'" After that, he focused all his efforts on completing the best training program possible and working towards building his career.

Today, Dr. Mariotti runs a well-respected and established practice with a carefully selected staff of professionals who thoroughly enjoy what they do. "If my employees are truly happy," he says, "then that extends to our patients. We get to know our patients very well and they often come to feel like an extended family."

You will find Dr. Mariotti to be genuine, easy-going, approachable and down-to-earth. He spent most of his childhood in Pinole, near Walnut Creek. This plastic surgeon enjoys skiing and swimming, pastimes he shares with his wife and three boys. In the summertime, he loves to work on cultivating as many heirloom tomato plants as possible. Travel is another passion for Dr. Mariotti. He has fond memories of traveling by bicycle with his father to many different parts of the world such as Africa, China and South America as a child and hopes to carry on that adventure when his boys are older.

Dr. Mariotti is highly gratified by his chosen field, which allows him to combine science, surgical technique and a dash of artistry to care for patients young and old, from head to toe, helping them feel good about themselves. He knows he is doing his job well when a patient tells him that they love how he has made them look and, more importantly, how he has made them feel. "That," he says, "is the highest compliment."

Dr. Mariotti is a board-certified plastic surgeon serving men and women in Concord, Walnut Creek, Danville, San Ramon and other communities in the East Bay.
