I want to thank you and your staff. I was a 19 year old with severely low self-esteem, and was unable to wear regular clothing due to the size of my breasts. Being only 19, you counseled my parents and me to ensure that I was interested in breast augmentation for only the right reasons. And I was.

The procedure changed my life. I had always been a leader and always excelled at schoolwork. After the procedure, my self-esteem was higher so I felt more capable socially as well as the areas that I was already strong.

The reason now that I write to you was the final test. I recently had a baby, Olivia Kay on July 23, 2003. I had heard horror stories of women with breast implants who were unable to breastfeed, but even prior to the surgery you had ensured me that I would be able to breastfeed my children, something that was very far in the future, but nonetheless important to me.

Dr. Capone believes that the decision to undergo plastic surgery should always be a private and personal choice. When patients come to his plastic surgery practice in Pittsburgh seeking cosmetic treatment, he selects the procedure(s) that will best fit their needs, taking into account the look they would like to create, as well as safety.

Having graduated at the top of his class at Georgetown University Medical School, Dr. Capone has continued along the path of excellence with his plastic surgery practice in Pittsburgh. Now, with more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Capone is the Past President of the Greater Pittsburgh Plastic Surgery Society and is also Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, Medical Director at Shadyside Surgi-Center, and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Dr. Capone is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Capone has been enhancing the lives of people through facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and breast enhancement since he started his practice in Pittsburgh in 1984. Over the years he has earned a reputation for providing quality care and working closely with his cosmetic surgery patients to better understand their vision, accomplish their goals, and ultimately help them achieve a better quality of life.

Dr. Capone is the author of several scientific articles and has presented papers at numerous plastic surgery conferences for audiences in the US, both here and abroad. Other honors include the following: awarded Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 1990; listed in Who’s Who Among Rising Young Americans; and featured in a number of articles relating to plastic surgery in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Dr. Raymond Capone, Jr., was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is the father of two boys.
