A tummy tuck and breast surgery (such as a lift, augmentation or combination lift/augmentation with saline or silicone implants) are often conducted as part of the mommy makeover. During the lift and tuck procedures, Dr. Daiza may also perform liposuction on the thighs or flanks regions to remove stubborn fat deposits in order to sculpt the body to a more youthful appearance. Sumer L. Daiza, MD, FACS, completed her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She continued her education with a five year general surgery residency at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and a plastic surgery residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, Dr. Daiza completed a cosmetic surgery fellowship with Charlotte Plastic Surgery. Dr. Daiza has performed several research studies and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
