Dr. Randy Wong has over 23 years experience in the Transforming Arts. Integrating leading edge technology with traditional methods, Dr. Wong adds his experience as a Tai Chi instructor and holistic approach to transformation. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Qualifications for Randy Wong, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Wong is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His special interests include cosmetic surgery of the face, eyes, nose and scalp, body sculpture and liposuction, breast augmentation and reduction, skin care, laser resurfacing and tattoo removal.

Dr. Wong's reconstructive interests include burn care, hand surgery, wound healing, congenital defects, breast cancer, microsurgery, tissue flaps, and scar control.

Dr. Wong has a medical degree from John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii, with residencies at Hahnemann University & Polyclinic Medical Center in general surgery. He has received fellowship training, faculty appointment, and was former Director for Aesthetic Surgery Services at Penn State University Hospital, Hershey Medical Center.

Dr. Wong is also the 1992 recipient of the Guy C. Champion & John Milnor awards, on the Woodward/White's list of Best Doctors in America, is Spokesperson and Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and President of the Hawaii Plastic Surgery Society 2000-2002.

Randy Wong was awarded the Dean's Prize in Undergraduate Research and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Highest Honors from the University of Hawaii in 1975.

As an Assistant Professor, Director of the Hand Clinic, Microsurgical Replantation Service, and Aesthetic Surgery Program, he spent the next 3 years as an academic surgeon at the Penn State Medical Center in Hershey before returning home to Honolulu to join the Straub Clinic in 1990.

He was awarded the Milnor Award for Professional Excellence in 1992, became Director of the Straub Burn Unit, and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Straub Hospital until moving into private practice in April, 2010. He continues to serve the Straub Medical Staff as Chair of the Medical Informatics Committee.

After participating with the Aloha Medical Mission to Hue, Vietnam in 1995, Dr. Wong began to integrate Eastern philosophy with his practice, a more holistic approach, embracing concepts that balance body, mind, and spirit for Wellness.

For over 8 years, between 1996 and 2002, Dr. Wong served as an officer, and eventually, President of the Hawaii Plastic Surgery Society. He supports a grassroots movement in HeathCoaching through inspirational public speaking events and encourages personal empowerment as the real solution to our healthcare crisis.

Dr. Randy Wong is an inspirational speaker, Physician Trainer for injectable fillers and Botox, and a popular contributor to forums on RealSelf.com.

His extensive reconstructive experience in caring for burns and problem wounds forged an affiliation with the American Hyperbaric Center where he now shares office space in downtown Honolulu.

In his spare time, Dr. Wong enjoys art, meditation, teaching Tai Chi, and spending time with his wife and their chihuahua and pugs.
