Dr. Whiteman received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He completed his plastic surgery residency at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Whiteman then completed Fellowship training at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. in advanced techniques of cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction.
Dr. David Whiteman is board certified as a plastic surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and holds membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

In order to provide patients with the latest in surgical techniques, Dr. Whiteman offers advanced procedures including minimal-incision endoscopic surgery and state-of-the-art laser treatments, as well as standard and ultrasonic liposuction.
Dr. Whiteman has not merely been serving the Atlanta community as a cosmetic surgeon since 1993, however. He has also helped to form support groups between his breast reconstruction patients and patients who have survived breast cancer. Dr. Whiteman has also been active in supporting VolleyFest, formally known as Volley for a Cure, a breast cancer initiative which counts a charity tennis tournament among its fund-raising efforts. Dr. Whiteman has been working with the foundation since they began their fund-raising in 2000, and was the VolleyFest Spokesperson in 2005. Since its inception, Volley for a Cure has raised over $600,000 for breast cancer initiatives.
Dr. Whiteman enjoys privileges at a variety of facilities throughout the area and is very active in the Atlanta community. He supports an effective program to raise awareness of plastic surgery through speaking publicly at local organizations.
Dr. David Whiteman wants every patient who walks through his doors to be comfortable, aware, and confident in their goals and his abilities as a cosmetic surgeon. To that end he goes out of his way to answer any and all questions you may have.
