Dr. Friedman is a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breasts, body, and face. He formerly served on the full-time plastic surgery faculty where he was the Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Memorial Hospital. He has been recognized nationally for his research and innovations in breast implants, nasal reshaping, and hand surgery.
In private practice since 1996, Dr. Friedman performs over 120 breast enlargements annually. (The average plastic surgeon does 40). He strives for natural, proportionate results that complement your figure, rather than overpowering it.
Dr. Friedman’s interest in plastic surgery stems from his fascination with art, science, and the human form. He is a gifted artist with over 25 years of experience performing wood and marble sculpture. His work has been displayed in several galleries and professional exhibits and is part of many private collections. Many surgeons call themselves “artists,” but Dr. Friedman’s artistic ability speaks for itself.
Dr. Friedman serves as the Director of the West Plano Plastic Surgery Center, a nationally-accredited surgery center, conveniently located on the campus of Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Ronald M. Friedman was voted Best Plastic Surgeon by D Magazine (2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) and Texas Monthly by our state's monthly (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007).
Dr. Friedman has been featured in various publications, programs and networks including Dallas, Nu Image, The Dallas Morning News and ABC.
Dr. Friedman has maintained offices in Plano and Flower Mound since 1996. Our main office and surgery center are conveniently located on the campus of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, winner of the Texas Award for Performance Excellence.
The West Plano Plastic Surgery Center, founded by Dr. Friedman in 2000, is nationally accredited by the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF). Dr. Friedman exclusively uses physician anesthesiologists, not nurse anesthetists, for all procedures. All preoperative and postoperative care is directed by registered nurses.
The West Plano Plastic Surgery Center only has one operating room because Dr. Friedman only operates on one patient at a time. He personally performs every step of every surgery—and he is never in a hurry. Perhaps this is why many area physicians choose Dr. Friedman for their own families’ plastic surgery needs.
