Steady Growth for Plastic Surgery

The 2007 year was a successful year for plastic surgery. It seems that the economical crises, like the mortgage crisis, haven’t stopped Americans. The number of plastic surgery procedures continues to grow and, according to a report from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), last year it almost got up to twelve million!

There was a seven percent increase since last year of plastic surgery procedures, according to the ASPS report. Richard D’Amico, president of ASPS, excused this increase by stating that “The report tells me [Richard D’Amico] Americans are devoted to looking and feeling their best.”

The leading surgical procedures were breast augmentation, liposuction, nose reshaping, eyelid surgery, and tummy tuck. During this year the quantity of procedures for all of those, but for nose reshaping, increased. Further conveying that d’Amico’s statement is true.
