Stephanie's Story
I am 19 years old and I have wanted to get breast augmentation since I was in sixth grade. That's sounds really ridiculous but it's true. I have always been very self-conscious about my body. When I was in sixth grade I would measure my breasts every month and write it in my journal. I did this all the way up until high school when I finally realize that my breasts were just not going to grow anymore.My friends always told me I was pretty and it didn't matter if I had big boobs. But I always wanted big boobs. There would be nights when my friends and I were supposed to be going out and it would take us an hour or two just to leave. It was my fault because I would start crying about how my body wasn't proportioned and that I couldn't go anywhere looking that I did. After hours of changing and hours of my great friends convincing me that I looked fine, we eventually left the house. This went on my whole life growing up.
I started researching breast augmentation about two years ago. I made sure I knew what I was going to be getting myself into. I researched the ups and the downs. A little less than ago I fell upon Breast Implants 411. The web site helped me so much. It gave me doctors in my area and forums from other women who had the surgery done before. It was totally like an online magazine about breast augmentation. Everyday I checked my emails I would go to BreastImplants411 to see if there was anything new. And of course there always was.
It was great to have like an online anonymous friend that I could ask questions and have them answered without feeling embarrassed. It was a great place to go and get research and support. I know have my dream and I have my boobies!! :) My surgery was on Monday, August 18, 2003. It's now Friday and I'm doing okay. I get my stitches taken out next Thursday and can't wait. Thank you BI411 for all your help in my surgery and my dream come true. My fiancé said I would change who I am, but I'm still Stephie, just with an enhanced body!
