I am thirty one years young. Over the past two years I lost about 130 pounds. As a result, I had saggy breasts with little tissue and basically looked flat as a child. I was very happy with my new toned look except my breasts.Bathing suit tops would fall off. After doing research, I decided I wanted to be a D cup, and I did not want to go through the nipple incision. I thoroughly researched everything. When I went in for surgery I was extremely informed about the procedure. I wanted a moderate profile D cup implant with a good bit of cleavage. I wanted to look sexy and pretty.
I firmly believe that if I had not done my research, my results wouldn’t have been as satisfactory. before doing my research on this site, I thought a C cup looked fine for me when in fact on my frame that would have been too small and I would have had 'boobie greed', a term I learned on the forum. I found out after surgery, many women regret not going bigger.
Here are some things I learned on this site that I would not have known if I had not visited the forum: I would have accepted smaller size implants and would have made a mistake about size. I did not know that going under the muscle actually shrinks the size of the implant. I would have mistakenly asked for a C cup and would have ended up dissatisfied with my implants, having to repeat the surgery to get better results.
I found out what methods are best for resting after the surgery, and cool recovery tips and products that I could use at home; things that your doctor doesn’t tell you about.
I found out how to prevent capsular contracture and the different methods of massaging.
I received a lot of great ideas, opinions and comments. I got more than a MEDICAL point of view; I got REAL WOMEN with real stories. I am very happy with my implants, I had a quick recovery and my doctor thought I was very knowledgeable about the entire procedure.
I also learned on here that the warranty is important if your implants deflate or rupture; and I would not have purchased my warranty if I had not seen it mentioned on the forum.
Now I have implants and peace of mind. If my implants ever have a mechanical failure, my operation is covered. I am very pleased with this site and continue to come on the forum on a regular basis. Thank you for empowering women and allowing them to learn about the surgery from each other!
