There are two primary types of breast implants available for breast augmentation: Silicone and saline. Each type has benefits and drawbacks, which should be carefully considered before making a decision.
During breast surgery, your implants can be placed either subglandularly, meaning between the breast tissue and the pectoral, or chest muscle; or submuscularly, meaning beneath the pectoral muscle.
